Hunwick Community Centre

Hunwick Community Centre Our Aim is to bring the community together by offering facilities for education, leisure, recreation

Hunwick Community Centre is run by a small committee of volunteers which make up the Community Association. We strive to provide residents with a centre which can be utilised by everyone. We offer a range of activities within the centre as well as organising many activities throughout the year. The Association also work alongside other organisations in order to source funding which can help to imp

rove our village. We have developed the centre to be a well established sustainable resource and encourage community involvement. The centre can also be hired for events, meetings and classes. For further information on current activities please call or text 07500837524.

Due to lack of support & difficulty in maintaining the building Hunwick Community Association has made the difficult decision to close the community centre with immediate effect. It is a real shame that the community will lose the use of this facility but the management committee have been left with no choice but to take this course of action. The Community Association however will remain active & we are working with Durham County Council & local councillors to demolish the old community centre as well as sourcing potential funding for a new community building. We would like to thank those who have supported the Community Centre throughout the years & would greatly welcome any new members or volunteers who could help us with future projects. Please continue to check for updates on our page or alternatively you can contact
Kelly – 07500837524 or Email: [email protected]

Thank you.
