This week marks the week kids and teachers wish was further away and parents are ready to happen. BACK TO SCHOOL. This month is dedicated to all the kids crossing patrols but particularly our wonderful lollipop lady Lesley Watson-McClurg thank you for looking after our village kids ❤️🏫🎒📕🚸

Last weekend to get any names in to be embroidered in the crafty joiners display. The person doesn't need to have lived in the village but worked as an Aycliffe Angel in the munitions factory

Hello Everyone.

The Crafty Joiners are always looking for new ideas to bring things to life for the village. Although it is only July we are looking forwards to the November display at St Paul’s Church for our Remembrance tribute.
This year we would like to include some names of people who worked at the munitions factory at Newton Aycliffe.

If you have a family member, or friend who worked as a Canary Girl, or a male family member who worked there, and would like their name embroidered on a yellow poppy, please get in touch via the group. We have several members who sew, and stitch the flowers and others who embroider the details. As this is very time consuming work, please let us know the names of those Aycliffe angels you wish to be included by the end of August to allow us the time to get this very special work done.
