Thank you so much for engaging with “Huntly Breastfeeding Buddies.”

The name might sound familiar to you. 🤔

There was once a thriving and very well attended group in Huntly by the same name. A group run by phenomenal breastfeeding peer supporters trained under the NHS. This was a group I attended myself when I welcomed by first child.

I turned up shaking and clueless with major ni**le trauma and huge anxiety. I was desperate to breastfeed but felt I was failing.

I was taken under the wing of the peer supporters and received amazing guidance as well as a sense of camaraderie. The group became the highlight of my week and the place I went to for support and encouragement in the tricky times. I made so many beautiful lasting friendships and made invaluable connections which helped me reach my breastfeeding goals.

This group took a hit during the pandemic (as we all did 😔) and , although it did return under a different format, it never quite took off in the same capacity again.

And so… we are delighted to be starting from the ground up to try to rebuild and to grow a community of support. We have some very experienced and passionate mothers on board as volunteers and are committed to supporting the families of Huntly and beyond.

Come and join us:
Tuesdays at 9.30am at Gordon Rural Action
