Wow 🤩 what a week..as we creep closer towards the end of term, we have been keeping busy!
This week we had a wonderful trip to the new STEM Starts centre in Elgin. There was so much to see, learn and do, with links to the local area. The wind machine, slide and under the sea were the children’s most popular areas. We then managed our pack lunches and a play at Cooper Park. Big thanks to Deveron coaches and bus driver Jim 🤩

We also managed to have our Sports Day on Friday, where the children chose what races they wanted to do, which included running, a rolling race and a mum vs Kids 🫣😇 The children did amazingly well 🥇

Finally we managed a child friendly “Blackening” of our Isla who is set to get married very soon. The children loved the opportunity to get messy and the freedom to cover an adult in gloop and feathers 😂😂

We’ve lots of fun planned for the last few weeks of term 🤩🥳👩🏻‍🎓

We ended our week with a wonderful Grandparent Flycup, and we were delighted with how many of our children’s family managed to attend. It was a wonderful experience to have family members in to see their grandchildren’s learning and share our nursery. And our butterflies 🦋 also managed to have successfully hatch just in time to join in the fun, much to the children’s delight 🥰
The children worked hard to bake a tasty cake and some yummy chocolate truffles (with the help of our own recipe book).

Thank you so much to our families for joining us today, we hope you enjoyed it as much as we all did 🥰. We hope everyone has a wonderful weekend ☀️☀️

📚World Book Day 2026 📚
We have had a wonderful day, celebrating our favourite books, we enjoyed reading and sharing our books with each other, as well as dressing up as some of our favourite characters. We had Snow White, Gabby, Lotso, Shona the vet, Peter Rabbit and Dinosaur..as well as the Smed Smoo family. We have even been reenacting some of our stories, being different characters and working together to make the story 🥰🤩

We may live and go to nursery in a small rural village..but it doesn’t stop us having adventures and finding new things in our community! Today we went to find Queen Mary’s bridge, history tells us that this bridge was built so the queen could visit Rothiemay Castle (sadly this is no longer standing)..we had a super map, (collected from Number 30, in Huntly), cosy hats and suits and our best walking feet..what an exciting adventure..not only did we find the Bridge, still standing but also a secret gate! We will definitely be visiting again, to play poohsticks and explore some more!
