Lots of news from our Group as we continue to support our local health services.

Thank you to everyone who supported our Summer shop window competition. We have had positive feedback from all those who took part, both businesses and entrants. From all the entries we only had two 44 correct answers. The joint winners were both in the Under 16 category - The children of the Kindergarten, Steven Road, and Keyan, Kallan & Kayla Smith, Deveron Park. The business which won the best "odd one out" was Fred Watt, Optician, Bogie Street. Look out for photographs of the presentation of prizes next week. We hope to follow this success with another competition next Summer.

Recent purchases and outstanding orders are as follows: Rothieden now has a beautiful gazebo, sturdy table and benches in the garden; 2 Vascular Dopplers; and Upgrade of the Garden Room consisting of complete redecoration, new sofa, dining table and chairs, artwork and picture framing, storage jars, and a donated 12xpiece china tea set. Two new outdoor umbrellas have also been purchased for Rothieden Garden and the Millennium Garden. On order for Rothieden are 2 manual wheelchairs and 1 powered armchair, Fall Sensor Mats, Urinalysis machine, bed levers, chair raisers, shower chairs and chair sensors.

Further requests will be considered at our meeting on 18 August.

We are grateful to ASDA who are supporting the Friends group in their green tokens scheme. Voting is online only - asda.com/greentokens then select Huntly Store if you would like to take part.

There is still time for you to take part in our Shop Window competition. There are 44 premises taking part and closing date is Friday 13th - unlucky for some but you may be the lucky winner. So why not take part and have fun and exercise during the last week of the school holidays! Good luck everyone and thank you to all those who have returned forms to date.

Hello Friends of Huntly Jubilee Hospital.

Congratulations.

You have been nominated to be part of the Asda Foundation Green Token Giving online vote through your local Asda store Huntly SM. I can confirm all the due diligence is complete and you will be on the vote from Sunday!

The vote will be live from 0.01am on Sunday 1st August and voting will close at midnight on Thursday 30th September.

You and your supporters will be able to vote for you by visiting www.asda.com/green-tokens and selecting Huntly SM from the drop down box. Supporters will be able to vote once every 7 days, so please encourage them to return and revote in the following weeks.

To help promote and encourage your supporters to vote for you, we have created some exciting graphics you can use on your social media posts, which can be found on Asda Foundation website: www.asdafoundation.org/shareonsocial and don’t forget to use our hashtags

Your local store Community Champion will also be promoting the vote in store, listen out for our advert on Asda radio next time you are in store.

We are delighted to announce that the hamper raffle was drawn this afternoon. The lucky winner was No 28 Aylsa Leslie. The Friends would like to thank the organisers, donors and those who bought tickets which raised £216 for our funds. We are very grateful to you all for your support.

Update on the Easter Friends hunt which starts on the 26th - the hunt will be in the following places:

Meadow St, Castle St, The Square, Gordon St, Bleachfield St, Duke St/Bogie St and Upperkirkgate.

The Friends Group would like to invite you to their Easter Fly Bye for takeaway Tea & Hot Cross Buns on Easter Sunday 4th April from 2-4 pm at 5 Bleachfield Street (up driveway between No 4 and 6). There will be a Sales Table and a Drop Off Point for entries to the "Easter Friends" competition. See How to Enter below.

Hunt down the 12 numbered Easter "Friends" located around the town in shops and houses (they can be spotted from the pavement - clue is to look for the yellow bows!) Record all 12 with their number, where they were spotted, a description of the "Friend" and your name and contact number.

Bring along all entries to the Friends of Jubilee Hospital Easter Fly Bye on Sunday 4th April at 5 Bleachfield Street between 2 and 4 pm.

We will adhere to any Covid restrictions in place on the day.
