Malcolm’s Retreat is a fully operational, purpose-built lodge offering free respite breaks for families and individual

s affected by cancer. The lodge sits on the bank of ‘Rook’ - one of the site’s pleasure fishing lakes. This beautiful and comfortable, air-conditioned lodge sleeps up to 5 guests and features:

- Open-plan kitchen, dining, and living area
- Two bedrooms
- A spacious bathroom with a walk-in shower
- Private fishing peg with free use and equipment
- Large decking looking out over the lake with outdoor furniture and BBQ
- Smart TVs, Wi-Fi throughout
- Bedding, towels, and essentials provided
- Dog-friendly (up to 2 well-behaved dogs welcome)

Guests can enjoy self-catering with a fully equipped kitchen, or visit the Rookery Café just 50 metres away for breakfast, snacks, lunch and drinks. Nearby amenities include shops, takeaways, and restaurants in Warboys, Somersham, and Huntingdon. Activities include:

- Fishing (Roach, Bream, Perch, Carp up to 30lbs)
- Walking trails and public footpaths
- Lakeside Lodge Complex (golf, bowling, dining)
- Local attractions like Johnsons of Oldhurst Zoo & Farm Shop, Houghton Mill (National Trust), and scenic
villages like St Ives and Hemingford Abbots

Malcolm’s Retreat is available year-round, completely free of charge, offering families undergoing treatment a chance to rest, reconnect, and recharge in a peaceful setting.

☀️😎We are so grateful to MSI Cooling for offering, free of charge, to supply and fit air conditioning at Malcolm's Retreat - TMWF spring time last year.

This came about from a school information evening re The Dorset Walk (the annual biggest fund raising event for The Malcolm Whales Foundation) After hearing about the lodge, a parent stepped forward with this generous offer.
A supportive community means the world, thank you 🙏 🤩
