Join us on Sunday 13 September for breakfast and come and see the proposed new scout hut for Huntingdon.

Arrive between 9am - 12pm for a cooked breakfast to raise money for the project and meet some of the people behind the development.

Hinchingbrooke District Scouts will be hosting a Big Breakfast to showcase the new District Scout Hut that 1st Hunts Hartford will be utilising when it is finished.

Come and see the building, look at the plans and speak to some of the people working on the project.

King George 5 Building - St Peters Road (Access via the Bows Club carpark)

No booking required, just turn up for breakfast during the morning. More details to follow.

1st Hunts Hartford Scout Group spent this evening down at Paxton Lakes Sailing Club with our Beavers out on the water and our Cubs and Scouts completing a hike around the lakes.

This weekend, our Beavers section took part in Beavers in Tents, a countywide camp with over 200 Beavers from groups around Cambridgeshire. Well done, Beavers, you all did great! 🌳⛺️

While we meet in Hartford Village Hall, during the summer term we are outside most weeks. You'll normally find us on the KG5 field in Hartford, Hinchingbrooke Country Park, Little Paxton Lakes or somewhere else out and about.

The rain might have been bad today, but that didn't stop our Beavers from checking their equipment in preparation for 'Beavers in Tents' at Copley Scouting Centre, St. Ives on 19-20 June.

Thomas Birch, who chairs our Board of Trustees, spoke during this Volunteers' Week about the important roles volunteers, past and present, play in supporting 1st Hunts Hartford Scout Group. One of the oldest Scout groups in the world, the organisation continues to deliver skills for life to boys and girls in Huntingdon.

"This Volunteers' Week, I want to say thank you to everyone who has got involved in scouting, whether a Leader, Trustee, or occasional parent helper."

Volunteers' Week runs 1st - 7th June 2026.

We are always looking for more volunteers, either during our sessions or working behind the scenes as a Trustee. If you or someone you know would like to get involved, let me know.
