It’s Carers Week 2026, 8–14 June, a time to recognise and celebrate the vital role unpaid carers play in our families, workplaces and communities.
This year’s theme is Building Carer Friendly Communities. Caring for someone can be rewarding, but it can also affect health, wellbeing, work and finances. No carer should feel they have to manage alone.
If you care for a family member, friend or neighbour, support may be available — including a carer’s assessment, local carers’ groups, respite breaks, advice on benefits, flexible working rights, and wellbeing support.
Know someone who cares? Take a moment this week to check in, say thank you, and help them find the support they deserve.
