Friend Animal Sanctuary helped SHAC in many ways, including providing us with a postal address when no one else would. They also hosted many international animal rights gatherings. Now they need our help during their time of crisis.

Urgent appeal to save FRIEND
We are facing huge challenges here at FRIEND as we enter into our 30th year of rescue.
After a very hard Winter, a dramatic decline in monthly donations has meant that we cannot meet our basic costs. Enormous Vet bills over Winter have completely stripped us of any back up emergency funds. We are now facing the harsh reality that we can't carry on like this.
Mark and I have struggled with losses of some of our most beloved older residents this Winter which has taken a great toll on our health and wellbeing.
We are struggling to post on socials regularly or to host our usual events as we have so little energy left and we are grieving.
Everything we have goes to the animals who need us to be there for them.
We both know that we can't continue if we can't afford the basics.
We are asking for an urgent £15,000 as a lifeline for FRIEND.
Animals need feeding every day.
They need bedding and most importantly they need veterinary care.
