1st Wyton RAF Scout Group We are 1st Wyton (RAF) Scout group who regularly meet on a Monday night at Wyton on the Hill Primary School.

We have the following Sections: Squirrels (4-6yrs) 17:00-18:00, Beavers (6-8yrs) 17:30-18:30, Cubs (8-10.5 yrs) 18:45-20:00.

Volunteer your way – evenings, weekends, or behind the scenes.

No experience necessary – training provided for every role. Plus, fun, friends and bags of pride.

What a weekend our Cubs have had at Hilltop Outdoor Activity Centre in Norfolk! They loaded up the minibus, packed the trailer, and headed off for an unforgettable adventure.

They took part in a range of activities including: abseiling, adventure courses, zip wires, high ropes, a campfire, and so much more! They threw themselves into every activity with enthusiasm and smiles all round.

A fantastic weekend full of challenge, fun, and memories that they’ll be talking about for a long time. 🌟

🎁✨ Shoebox Appeal Success! ✨🎁

This evening, members of our group proudly took part in the St Ives Rotary Club Shoebox Appeal. Everyone brought along thoughtful items to be used as Christmas presents for those in need.

Together, we wrapped the boxes and prepared them to make their way to less developed countries just in time to spread joy this Christmas. 🌍🎄

A huge well done and thank you to everyone who contributed. Thanks to your generosity, we managed to donate just over 30 boxes!

🚂🔬 Science, Trains, and Big Smiles! 🧠🌟

A few weeks ago, our Cub Pack set off on an exciting adventure to New Scientist Live in London which is one of the UK’s biggest science shows! From exploring RAF tech and climbing aboard tractors 🚜 to discovering the wonders of farming, robotics 🤖, and medical science 🩺, our Cubs were absolutely buzzing with curiosity and excitement.

The train journey down and across London was an adventure in itself. The Cubs enjoyed navigating the city together. 🗺️🚆

Huge thanks to everyone who helped make this trip possible. It was a brilliant day of learning, exploring, and making memories. We can’t wait for the next adventure!

🌟 The Cubs are back! 🌟

After a well-earned summer break, our Cubs returned full of energy and excitement for the new term. At our first meeting, they jumped straight into team-building challenges and had a brilliant time getting to know their new Sixes. It’s already shaping up to be a fantastic year of fun, friendship, and adventure! 🐾

🏕️ What a Weekend. 💥

Our Cubs have just returned from an epic weekend away packed with adventure, teamwork, and non-stop fun! From the adrenaline rush of the Cresta Run and go-karts to the steady aim of archery and the underground mystery of caving, they tackled every challenge with courage and smiles all round. 🎯🚗🕳️

There was lots of other activities too such as clay modelling and origami. There was plenty to keep the energy sky-high and the laughter echoing across camp. Through it all, the Cubs showed amazing Scout spirit, cheering each other on and embracing every moment. 🌟🙌

Big thanks to all the leaders and volunteers who made this weekend possible. Your enthusiasm and care are what turn adventures into lifelong memories

🥾 Adventure was in the air on Monday night as our Cubs hit the trail for an exciting hike! Along the way, they made big strides on their badgework, including continuing their progress from last week’s Nature Badge.

The Cubs gave it their all with lots of energy, teamwork, and enthusiasm. They were definitely ready for a well-earned rest by the end! 🌙

A massive shoutout to everyone who joined us for our Big Breakfast this morning! Thanks to your incredible support, we raised £336, every penny of which will go towards expanding storage for our group.

A special thanks to our wonderful guests for attending and making the event even more memorable. Your support means the world to us!

🦉🐾 Cubs on a Wild Adventure! 🐾🦉

This evening our Cubs took a walk on the wild side with an unforgettable visit to the Raptor Foundation! 🦅 They had the chance to learn all about the incredible birds of prey, their habitats, and how to care for them. From watching majestic owls up close to understanding the dedication needed to protect and rehabilitate wildlife, our Cubs worked hard towards earning their Animal Carer badge.

A huge thank you to the team at the Raptor Foundation for sharing their passion and knowledge!
