🤩 A Spotted Crake was the standout sighting at RSPB Titchwell Marsh today. This elusive species hasn't been recorded on the reserve since August 2015, making it a particularly notable bird for visitors and staff alike.

Elsewhere, the Freshmarsh continues to attract a good range of passage waders, including 5 Curlew Sandpipers, Little Stint, and Common Sandpiper, alongside Avocets and six Spoonbills. A Great White Egret was also present, while a Kingfisher and Whinchat were among the other highlights around the reserve.

As Hoops would say.... incredible! 👌

An absolutely cracking day here today at RSPB Titchwell today - 34 Cattle Egrets first thing along Whinchat, Pied Flycatcher, Red backed Shrike, Yellow Wagtail and lots more out on the reserve - fantastic!!! 😎🤘👍

Join the team for our End of season Beach Clean! 🐣
This Sunday 30th August (10am to 1pm) at Snettisham Beach.
As nesting season comes to a close, our teams have begun removing seasonal fencing, as the last of this seasons chicks take to the skies! 🐥
So why not join us on the beach this Sunday, meet our beach rangers, get the gossip from the season and help get the beach Autumn ready, for shorelines that are litter free for our windswept walks and safer for our roosting waders. 🍂
No booking needed! Just arrive for 10am at Snettisham Beach car park (PE31 7PS) to pick up your kit. Bring suitable clothing and sturdy footwear. 🥾
Please note that parking at Snettisham beach car park is pay and display.

Numbers of Knot and other waders are building on The Wash, making it a great time to visit RSPB Snettisham. Our seasonal wildlife events are proving popular, and parking is limited on event days. If you haven't booked your parking space yet, there are a few spaces left for Tuesday 29 September 👉https://events.rspb.org.uk/events/136450

Here are a few reminders for ticket holders:
1. Please don't arrive earlier than the time given on your ticket
2.Ensure you have your ticket ready to show RSPB team members on arrival
3. Be prepared to wait for tickets to be checked as you are directed to a space
4. Please don't speed along Beach Road and the access road to the car park. Your safety, the safety of others and wildlife is important to us.
5. There is only one toilet on site and no other facilities.
6. Don't forget your camera!

We know you're going to have a wonderful morning and we're looking forward to welcoming you to the show!
