🌿 Please see the link (in the comments and in our bio) to our recent report ‘Data, Place and Lived Experience: Exploring the Value of Regional and National Datasets for Third Sector Organisations’ which has been based on recent research carried out as part of our Postcode Gardener Programme.

The report outlines how although a dataset can show whether green space is present, lived experience reveals whether people value it, use it or feel that it belongs to them.

We’re really excited to share a brand new collaborative series of sessions in partnership with Bransholme Postcode Gardener Hull Food Partnership and North Point Shopping Centre which start this Saturday!

These sessions are aimed at families and are based around learning skills to grow and cook food from scratch 🍅🥕🌽🍜🥧🥙

The first session is on Sat 17th Oct at 11am - meeting at the entrance of North Point Shopping Centre near the petrol station with more sessions to follow over the next few months.

They are free thanks to the funding from these amazing groups and families can book on via pur website (link in bio)

This session will involve taking a look at how our ancestors would have moved around and lived in woodland using stone age technologies! 🪵🛘

Meeting at Mappleton pay and display carpark at 1pm on Monday 12th Oct

We are absolutely over the moon that our wonderful film Wild Camps (directed by the amazing of Hinterland Creative) has been selected to be shown at not 1 but 4 film festivals this year!! 🥹👏

We’re so proud of this film and most importantly the brilliant young people that feature in it, they are the life-blood of the story 💚

Hull people, you can catch a showing of the film at Reel Cinemas on Wednesday as part of the UNTHINKABLE festival (tickets available on eventbrite)

Today’s Wild Child was all about sensory exploration 💚

Little hands getting messy, digging deep in the mud, mark-making with charcoal and learning to make conker soap!!

It’s what our nature-based play sessions are all about 🌿🪵💦🛘🪲

We can continue to offer this wonderful session for free because of our funders Royal Society of Arts The National Lottery Community Fund 🙌

We have some amazing news to share! 📣

Rewilding Youth is now part of Playful Green Planet programme 💚🌍

This means we can continue to run our weekly Wild Child and our regular Wild School sessions plus we can now offer Wild Play Days to run during every school holiday! Amazing right? 🙌

We are so proud and excited to be part of the RSA Playful Green Planet Network - a growing national movement of place-based organisations taking the lead as stewards and champions in reimagining local green spaces through nature-based play.

We have been awarded funding for 2 years to offer even more opportunities for children and their families to join us across Hull to spend time playing and learning together in some of the beautiful outdoor spaces in our area 💚
