Ahhh what a wonderful time of year to be at the allotment!

We are harvesting plenty of tomatoes, squashes and beets and while we are rustling about the plants, we keep encountering caterpillars!

These little ones will probably over winter as caterpillars and emerge as beautiful butterflies or moths next year!

Thanks everyone who kept the veg beds watered and cared for oveer the dry sumer, that's definately paid off!

Join Growing Works Wild & Well project for an evening bat walk around the allotment as we discover the fascinating world of these incredible nocturnal flyers.

As the sun sets, we'll explore the allotment after dark, learn about the UK's most common bat species, and listen out for bats as they emerge to feed before winter arrives.

Whether you're a wildlife enthusiast or simply curious about what happens at the allotment after sunset, this is a wonderful opportunity to experience nature in a whole new way.
