Yesterday Oliver and Jordan competed in the Harry Firth Darts series again.
They held their own and showed just how much progress they have made. It was much quieter than the last tournament. Well done lads ❤️❤️
They watched on as Scott Waites and Adam Warner went head to head in a round.
Well done to Ash too who managed to get to the semi final.

Some of our youths joined the Harry Firth Darts series in Leeds today.
A great experience for the youths and they showed great sportsmanship. Well done Oliver, Ewan and Jordan. Great to see you experiencing this and having a smile on your face whilst doing this.

Another great night of youth darts last night. It’s coming up to one year of youth darts. It’s great to see the youths developing each week and how much they have come on since starting. The support from parents is immense and really is appreciated.

We ran our first internal tournament last night. The youths played with their parents, grandparents, uncles and family friends.
It was great to see the youths and families playing together and having fun.
Well done to Thomas and his uncle in winning the tournament.
We will be running a few more of these during the year.
Thank you to all the youths and parents it was a fantastic Friday night 🙂

x Exciting News x

We are opening up the age group to 17 and 18 year olds.
Therefore Huddersfield Youth darts will now be open for youths aged 8 to 18 years.

If your child is interested in playing darts please contact Lemily Taylor or Ash Taylor.

We do have a few spaces available.

Oliver participated in his first league competition today in Leeds. Playing against players who play for Yorkshire.
There were also players who have won world championships and players who love the game of darts.
It was a great experience and Oliver did really well scoring his own game and showed true sportsmanship.
What a great set of men and young men showing lots of encouragement and support.

Ash managed to get into the knock out stage but unfortunalty due to darts falling out of the board didn’t manage to get the finishes. Left gracefully thinking there is always next time 🙂

Oliver’s uncle also played- he doesn’t really play the game and fancied a go- again a great experience for him and he too really enjoyed it.

We will follow on soon with a post regarding more information about opportunities like this for the youths to get involved in.

We had our last darts session tonight before Christmas.
We ran our own little tournament and well done to Jordan and Taylor for winning their sections 🙂
The youths wore Christmas jumpers/ T-shirts/ bauble lights and festive hats. It was great to see them preparing for the festivities ahead.
We would like to wish all the youths, parents/ carers and families a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. We shall see you in 2025 for another year of great darts.

Welcome to Huddersfield Youth Darts Academy. Based at Marsden British Legion where youths from the age of 8 up until 16 can enjoy an hour of learning the skill of darts, aswell as developing their social skills and Mathematical skills.
