🍃 A guided walk around Greenhead Park
🎨 Arts and crafts
🧋 Drinks and refreshments.

Members of our Mental Health, Advocacy, and Information & Advice teams will also be on hand throughout for anyone who would like a chat.

This week we’re celebrating another incredible milestone with a HUGE thank you to Adam who has now been volunteering with hoot for 10 years. 🎖️

Adam has supported many of our music groups over the years and now volunteers at our Music sessions in Dewsbury. He brings enthusiasm, compassion and invaluable musical skills to the groups and we’re very lucky to have him as part of our volunteering team. 👏

We’re proud to be taking part in Volunteers’ Week 2026 – marking 42 years of saying thank you to all volunteers across the UK for everything they do for society 🌟

We’re starting by looking back at our fantastic Volunteer Thank You Event in December last year with our partners in the Working Together Better Partnership. We had a wonderful day offering wellbeing activities to volunteers and peer supporters from all our services.

This week is Dementia Action Week 📅 Did you know that hoot works in partnership with Kirklees Dementia Hub? We provide music, singing and other creative arts activities to the Young Onset Dementia Group called 'Thursday Group' each month. Take a look at the wonderful banner they created with artist, Lianne Woodward 🤩

The Kirklees Dementia Hub is a partnership between Inspire North and Age UK Calderdale & Kirklees and offers information and advice on living well throughout the dementia journey as well as signposting to further support in the community.
