A while back we lost access to our page. This is just to say that we've been able to get back in, so you can expect to see more about what we've been doing, and what we're planning to do. It's been a really busy winter with a lot of going on and a lot of changes, but we're pleased to share that we've never been better, and we are looking forward to a busy and successful year ahead.

Our 3rd Brilliant Christmas Choir Reharal at The Amazing Star Pub

It’s that magical time of year again, and we’re thrilled to bring you the 3rd brilliant Christmas choir reharal at The Amazing Star Pub, right in the heart of Slaithwaite. A huge shout-out to Pam and Mick, the lovely owners, and DJ David for keeping the tunes spinning and the atmosphere sparkling.

Leah the manager from Cooperative Care and some of the lovely clients who sang with hearts full of holiday joy. We also had the pleasure of welcoming Ellie and Val from Sandymount in Crossland Moor — what a privilege to share the mic with such fantastic voices!

Take a listen to our medley of Christmas classics and a heartfelt Band Aid tribute — the harmonies are magic and the spirit even more so. If you’re in the area, come along and experience the warmth, laughter, and community spirit that makes our choir so special.

🎶✨ First Rehearsal Success! ✨🎶

We kicked off our first rehearsal for A Star Choir at The Star Pub with Cooperative Care, and what a magical start it was! We started by crafting our festive Christmas hats, letting the creativity and holiday spirit shine. Then we dove into our Christmas song for the season, and the energy was simply amazing.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to join in—your voices, smiles, and enthusiasm made the evening unforgettable. Looking forward to many more rehearsals and to sharing our Christmas joy with you all!

🌟 What a wonderful morning at the star 🌟

Today’s meet was truly special. We had a delightful moment in the middle of our memory path session as the amazing kids from Nields primary school joined us, plus a few new faces who are already becoming part of our musical family for the light switch on on the 7th December @ 4pm The energy was bright, the voices were full of promise, and the teamwork was inspiring.

A brilliant morning all around — and we’re buzzing with anticipation for 8th October where we’ll be starting rehearsals singing Christmas songs with the children’s community from local areas . It’s going to be a magical time at the star pub full of harmony, laughter, and festive cheer.

Thank you to everyone who came out, and to all the families and volunteers who make this possible. See you at the first rehearsal on the 8th October at the Star Pub

We’re excited to announce that we now offer a Bathing/Showering Support Service. If you only need assistance with a bath or shower, you don’t need a full care package—we’re here to help you maintain your independence.

What we offer:
Bathing or showering support tailored to your needs
Assistance designed to preserve your independence as much as possible
Flexible options without the full care package

Pricing:
£15 for 30 minutes
£25 for 60 minutes

🌟 Exciting News! Join Us in Celebrating Our New Senior Team Members! 🌟

We are thrilled to share some fantastic news with everyone who follows us — two incredible individuals have progressed up the ladder to become our newest Senior team members at Cooperative Care! 🎉

Andrea joined us in 2019 and has been with Cooperative care for 2 years. After spending 18 years in one job, she decided to pursue a career in care inspired by her thoughts about her aging parents and wanting to make a difference in people’s lives. Andrea loves giving care, listening to stories, and making meaningful connections. This opportunity to step into a senior role has truly made her feel like she can give even more, and she’s excited to continue progressing further.

Georgia has been in care for 10 years. Her passion for helping others and finding fulfillment in her work motivated her to start her career in care. She’s gained a wealth of experience and feels now is the right time to take the next step. Georgia said she is dedicated and eager to grow with us, and we are so proud of her journey so far.
