What a weekend!
Day 1 - Moved everything with my dad and sons, hired and drove a sprinter van, from one storage to another storage on the 1st floor with no lift!

Day 2 - Moved bookcases, tables, storage unit and lockers on my own in my car 🤦🏾‍♀️

This was not as easy as it looked with both me and my dad having Sickle Cell… our bodies may be weak but our minds are strong and our spirit is indomitable 💪🏾

Pausing in prayer to set my intention and hold space for my young believer in Christ. This is more than a coaching & mentoring session; it’s a safe space, a sacred container for growth. 🌱🌴👑

🌴A year of Refinement, Resilience & Realignment👑

Last year humbled me, refined me, and redirected me.
Every pause was purposeful.
Every setback revealed clarity.

If you’ve ever had to slow down to survive, this is your reminder: alignment is not delay.
I hope your February is filled with peace, positivity and prosperity.

💔Jamaica Land We Love 🇯🇲

The devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa has been heartbreaking to see. My dad’s side of the family are from St. Elizabeth and we’re still waiting to hear from some of them. My son’s dad is currently visiting out there, thankfully he’s been in touch and is safe, but the whole place mash up! 🥹

One thing I know for sure is that my people are some of the most resilient souls on this earth. 💪🏾
We’ve faced storms before and as always, we shall overcome. 🙏🏾

I’ve spent the weekend packing things to send out there... clothes, footwear, books, toys, arts & crafts for the children. It’s a small token of love, but every little helps. My heart and prayers are with everyone affected, directly and indirectly.🖤💚💛

🌱 Exciting News!

I’m excited to share that last month I was selected to participate in Cohort 1 of the Thrive Programme, part of the Huddersfield Health Innovation Incubator 🎉

This 12-week programme — funded by the UK Government and led by Kirklees Council, the University of Huddersfield, the 3M Buckley Innovation Centre (3M BIC) and the NHS — supports West Yorkshire-based entrepreneurs with bold ideas shaping the future of health, wellbeing, and life sciences.

Through tailored mentoring, business development sessions and hands-on support, the programme will help me take my new Sickle Cell support initiative to the next stage — strengthening how we can empower, educate, and improve the quality of life for those living with Sickle Cell.

Today’s launch session, Business Planning, Models and Management delivered by Russell Copley, was an inspiring start — exploring how to build sustainable business models with purpose and impact.

I’m truly grateful to be on this journey, surrounded by other passionate innovators driving change in our region’s health landscape.

Here’s to ending the year strong 💪🏾 turning pain into purpose… it’s GO time 🚀

🇬🇩Black History Month Health Expo | Kirklees College
🇯🇲 Theme: Standing Firm in Power & Pride

(Late post because I’m just recovering from another crisis in my leg which occurred the day after this event)🥹 But my God is bigger and stronger than Sickle Cell 🙏🏾

What an amazing, powerful day of unity, learning, healing and empowerment!

I was invited to share my lived experience with Sickle Cell, and delivered a spoken word “The Strength in my Blood”, expressing the importance of faith, advocacy, self-care, having the resilience mindset of a warrior woman and raising awareness in my community.

It was an absolute honour to be introduced to the stage by the incredible Judith Jacob, actress and Sickle Cell CAUSE Ambassador, who delivered a heartfelt keynote raising awareness on advocacy, the symptoms and treatment options for this debilitating disease, and her impactful work with Sickle Cell CAUSE, reminding us that health truly is wealth, and each one of us has the power to teach and uplift one another.

Together, we explored:
🩸 The importance of blood donation within Black communities
🌿 The benefits of body cleansing and holistic health
💬 The strength of shared stories and lived experience

A huge thank you to Mel Mills and Kirklees College for hosting such a meaningful event and inviting me to break my silence in a space where I previously worked as a Progress Coach during . I’ve wanted to speak on this topic for many many years 🙏🏾
I am truly grateful 🤍

This is a strong reminder that when we come together to help one another and share knowledge, we strengthen our community.💪🏾🫂
