The Huddersfield Black Community Awards A voluntary Organization Celebrating the achievements of individuals & groups in Huddersfield's Afric

This is a voluntary organization established in August, 2014 and based in Huddersfield, England. The organization aims to empower and encourage members of the Black, African and Caribbean communities who may be disadvantaged due to a lack of resources and limited access to education, training, health care, social support and employment opportunities. Additionally, these communities are at risk of

not receiving equal opportunities as they are plagued with negative stereo type. The HBC organizes events which are geared towards reversing the negative effects/ perceptions that such deprivation may encourage.
