West Hove Golf Club had backed down from killing pigeons at its clubhouse after the community fought back. But a source has told Protect the Wild that the golf club plans to go ahead with the cull once the outrage dies down.

NO HUNTERS, NO SHOOTERS, NO CULLS

Sabs heard that West Hove Golf Club were planning a cull of pigeons early this morning. We headed out to make sure they knew that pigeons are protected under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 and that their sick plans to 'manage' innocent wildlife would not go unchallanged.

We were not the only ones disgusted by the golf clubs vile intentions! Thanks to the quick actions of animal lovers in Brighton making themselves heard via social media and search reviews, the club have stated they will postpone the cull whilst they 'review other avenues for managing the issue'. Sabs enjoyed a pleasant walk in the countryside listening to the sound of birdsong and the distinct lack of gunshots.

We have ears on the ground and eyes in the sky. West Hove Golf Club, we are watching you.

Only a few hours left to make your voice heard!

YOU HAVE 12 HOURS TO STOP THEM!

The government consultation closes at 11:59pm tonight (Thursday 18th June). For over 20 years hunts have been exploiting the law and continuing to kill wildlife. This once in a generation opportunity allows you to be heard and be a part of shaping the future to protect wildlife.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

We often have supporters ask how they can help if they can't make it out in the field with us. Well now is your time!

The government consultation on banning trail hunting has finally been released, and the Hunt Saboteur Association has made this excellent guide to help you fill it out comprehensively.

If you have had any interaction with hunts (including drag and clean boot hunting), whether it be as a sab, rambler, farmer or local resident, please take the time to let your thoughts be known. The more personal and individual responses that are submitted, the more weight our argument has.

We've had over a 20 year wait after the failure of the last Hunting Act. Our wildlife can't wait another 20. We need to end hunting for good!

The Hunt Saboteurs Association has produced its guidance to completing the government’s trail hunting consultation.

Please note this is a guide and it is important to use your own words and, if applicable, your experiences of hunting. We want to ensure each response is personal and individual to the person submitting.

The governments consultation on banning so-called 'trail' hunting is open.

We only get one shot to get this right, to end this barbarism for good. There is no rush to respond. The consulation runs until June 18th.

The Hunt Saboteurs Assocation are thoroughly analysing the consultation, and are ensuring the guidance we will provide will bring an end to hunting.

Sign up to receive our updates here πŸ‘‰ https://www.huntsabs.org.uk/ha-campaign/ and keep an eye on our social media, but please do not rush to get your responses in until you have seen our guidance.

Hit report 22/03/26

We've reached the end of the fox hunting season in our bit of the country this year, but weren't ready for a weekend off yet. We joined our comrades in Brighton Antifascists travelling to Horley to remove some of the litter placed by some flag shaggers.

No racist dogwhistles on our streets! Not many people we hate as much as hunters but racists are one of them!

Surrey Union Hunt ends their season with a whimper!

The Surrey Union tried to evade sabs by changing their closing meet to a weekday last minute. Fortunately a little bird told us and we joined Surrey Hunt Sabs to ruin their day.

Thankfully with a warm spring the hunt struggled to cast their hounds and after a fruitless 2 hours we were hoping they would pack up early. In a last ditch effort they repeatedly cast their hounds in the woods just south of their kennels. This was despite a local farmer telling them off for having loose hounds chasing his sheep!

A few well-timed blows on our horn pulled the hounds back from rampaging the fields further. The hunt master Russell Ingram was now so red-faced we thought he'd blow up, but the end of the day was drawing near and they had no choice but to finish their season empty-handed.

Hit Report Saturday 14th March
Kent Hounds, Crundale House (closing meet)

Friday night disaster strikes. Elsie our trusty old Landcruiser will not start even after several attempts at resuscitation with jump leads. Change of plan.
A couple of us jumped in a private car and headed off to Kent to join up with South Thames hunt sabs and other groups including Kent and South Coast.
Weather was sunny and probably not ideal scenting conditions for dogs. The hunt was aiming to provide a spectacle for the swelled ranks of field riders (lots of pony club youngsters) and had the red coats on especially.
A far more pleasing scene was the couple dozen sabs resplendent in black watching down from Crundale church. While the hunt hung around quaffing drinks listening to boring speeches from the masters we were educating passing hikers and bikers on the situation playing out below.
The hunt eventually moved off south across the downs towards Hassell Street. It became evident straight away that this was not going to be their day. Sabs on foot stuck with them meaning huntsman Vater had to keep hounds close and could only half heartedly cast hounds into the woods and copses. Everywhere they went they bumped into more sabs as we relayed teams in ahead of them.
The hunt continued their loop around Down Farm and Marriage Hill, here there was a long period of hanging around as the hunt considered their options before they finally chose the correct one by hacking back towards the meet and then boxing up at Ashenfield farm at just 2 30

Looks like we may have an expensive garage bill soon so any help gratefully accepted.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who donates/ has donated to us, we often have no details to send personal thanks to but rest assured your donations big or small are the reason we can do this week in - week out. Thanks again.

Hit Report 21st February 2026
Chiddingfold, Leconfield and Cowdray
Uppark

Today saw us heading to the far West of West Sussex to help comrades West Sussex Hunt Sabs South Hampshire Hunt Saboteurs keep an eye on the CLC.
We arrived fashionably late and immediately put sabs in to the field at Pads wood south of the meet. Huntsman Stokes spent quite a while here putting hounds into all the hedges and copses, we believe one fox was chased to ground.
Next they headed south over Telegraph Hill towards Locksash farm, West Marden. Having done this meet before we wasted no time in transporting sabs around to get ahead into Grevitts copse. However foot sabs were hassled by a bunch of gamekeepers/ goons attempting to keep us away from the hunt. No matter, we reconvened and approached from a different direction using horn calls to keep hounds from searching their quarry.
With light fading and not a lot of land available to them the hunt re-traced their steps to pack up before 5pm.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who donates/ has donated to us, we often have no details to send personal thanks to but rest assured your donations big or small are the reason we can do this week in - week out. Thanks again.

Apparently a few hunts are getting together to demonstrate their foxhounds going down Whitehall tomorrow. Not satisfied with getting in everyone's way in the countryside, they are brilliantly demonstrating what a nuisance they can be in the capital, too.

We're only glad they're going to be miles away from any wildlife to bother.

‼️ π€π“π“π„ππ“πˆπŽπ ‼️

Urgent appeal for safety for Larry the Cat. ⚠️

It’s come to our attention that tomorrow (Friday, 20th Feb) that packs of foxhounds normally used to hunt foxes illegally in the countryside will be descending on Downing Street.

We urgently appeal to the residents of Downing Street to please ensure the safety of any animals and pets, including Larry. Fox hounds are also often witnessed attacking non-target animals including cats as well as their intended wildlife targets.

Hunt Saboteurs will also be in attendance to ensure that hounds to do not try to hunt Westminster’s urban foxes as there will be zero trails laid along Whitehall.

Report any incidents of urban fox hunting or cat killing to police.
