What a fantastic day at the Brunswick Festival! 🎉

Thank you to everyone who visited the Pelican Parcels stall on Sunday 16 August. It was a pleasure to meet so many people, talk about the difference our charity makes, and share how we're helping local children and families across Brighton & Hove.

Every donation, conversation and show of encouragement helps us

continue our work and reach more families who need support. We're incredibly grateful to everyone who stopped by, as well as the organisers, staff and volunteers who helped make the day such a success.

Every child deserves a safe place to sleep.

Yet 11% of children in the UK* don't have a bed of their own. That's around 3 children in every classroom.

You can help change that. By donating a pre-loved cots, beds and bedding in excellent condition, you'll help provide a local child with a safe, comfortable place to rest and thrive.

❌ mattresses (as these are provided new)

This time next week we’ll be heading to the Brunswick Festival!

📆Sunday 16th August

📍Brunswick Square

Brunswick Festival is a vibrant annual community festival in Brighton & Hove happening on 15th and 16th August. It will be a fun filled family weekend with a FREE programme of live music, DJs, dance groups and a spectacular children’s parade.

On Sunday 15th August, Pelican Parcels will be hosting a stall where you will be able to make a donation of any amount and take home an item of your choice. It’s also an opportunity for visitors to learn more about the work we do and discover how to support us.

Polite notice: Brunswick Square is a Dog Free area. For more details please visit the event website.

How can I be referred to Pelican Parcels?

Speak to your school, health service, community hub or other local orgs. They will be responsible for filling out our forms and for picking up your parcels from our warehouse.

Our service is only one part of the support that many families need, so the organisation referring you should also be able to provide or signpost you to other sources of support.

We’re so grateful to have had an amazing amount of donations in the last few weeks, but with many of our volunteers being away over the summer holidays, we just don’t have the capacity to take more clothes or soft toys right now!

We’re able to take any of our other usual items, and are most urgently in need of toddler beds!

Please note we will refuse any clothing or soft toy donations
