Martlets Hospice

Martlets Hospice Martlets is a local charity that provides terminally ill people in Brighton and Hove, and surrounding areas, with the very best care and support.

Our expert team helps patients live life to the full during the precious time they have left. Martlets opened in 1997. The staff and services were formed from the merger of three separate charities: Coppercliff Hospice, Tarner and MacMillan Day Hospice. Across the hospice services, more than 25,000 local people have been supported and cared for since 1997. Most people receive care from us in their

own homes. Outpatients also visit our hospice for pain relief, physiotherapy, counselling, welfare advice and social activities. Others choose to spend their final days here, or to join us as inpatients for respite care or symptom management. Thank you for your generous support – it enables us to provide exceptional care that changes lives.

We'll support you with training tips, fundraising advice, Strava challenges and a community of runners who'll be cheering you on every step of the way. On race day, our cheer squads will be there to help carry you to the finish line 💪.

We warmly invite you to visit the display and take time to remember a loved one. Our cafe is open between 9am and 4pm, Monday to Friday. You are also welcome to visit our sanctuary if you would like some time of quiet reflection. 💙

Remember your loved one and shine bright for local hospice care! ⭐

By taking part in Night to Remember, you'll help us raise funds to provide vital end-of-life care to local people when they need it most, like Derrick, who died at the hospice, surrounded by family.

“We were given the precious gift of time. Time to say everything we needed to. Time to laugh and reminisce,” says Debbie, Derrick’s wife.

Debbie will be walking at Night to Remember in Derrick's memory. 💙
