Last year we organised free monthly events for parents of children with complex health needs through our ‘Lancashire Care Hub’.

We’re thrilled to share that we will be rolling out new monthly events as part of ‘Greater Manchester Care Hub’.

Our first event will take place at SENsis in Horwich, a neurodivergent-friendly centre designed to be fun, inclusive and safe.

We invite parents to take a well-earned break and join us for a coffee while your children play with our highly skilled carers.

Our experienced professionals will also be on hand offering practical advice and guidance.

Whether it’s in-home care or support on day trips, our carers support children with complex health needs in many ways.

We’re currently recruiting for a number of care roles with Lagan’s Foundation, including Advanced Children’s Play & Health Care Worker – Carer Level 3 and Skilled Children’s Play and Health Care Worker.

Today is Restart a Heart Day, which educates the public about CPR and the use of defibrillators.

Our incredible patrons at Safe Life UK & I started supporting us earlier this year. They pledged to donate £1 from every defibrillator sale this year, and teamed up with Primedic, generously donating 12 defibrillators.

Their companies and organisations, Defib Store, Defibshop, Defib Machines, Defib Warehouse, and Heart Safety Solutions, all focus on getting defibrillators into the hands of those who need them.

A massive thank you to everyone at Safe Life UK & I for their support.

Did you know that around 40,000 people have an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest in the UK each year? 🚑

If someone’s heart suddenly stops, you could be the person standing beside them when they need help most. You don’t need to be a medical professional to make a difference.

Knowing CPR means you can take action while waiting for help to arrive. And knowing how to use a defibrillator could more than double someone’s chance of survival.

This Restart a Heart Day, take a few minutes to learn CPR and find out where your nearest AED is. It could be knowledge you never expect to need, but could one day make a difference.

Today marks the 15th anniversary of Lagan’s Foundation’s founding.

Since 2011, we have looked to the community to help us care for and support families of children with congenital heart defects and other complex health needs.

We’d like to extend an enormous thank you to everyone who has made the work we do possible.

Of course, a massive thank you to our parents and children, our carers, volunteers, supporters and patrons, and partners. We couldn’t do what we do without your help!

Look out for a number of events over the coming year celebrating 15 years of the incredible Lagan’s Foundation community.

We’re less than a month away from our Mamma Mia Charity Party Night. Tickets are still available, and the funds raised that night will support families with children who have complex health and care needs.

Expect a stellar performance from ABBA Alert, plus a complimentary welcome drink and delicious Greek cuisine.

Today, Arantxa and Claire have been at The University of Salford's Careers Fair, introducing Lagan’s Foundation's work to a new audience.

We’re looking for more advanced carers who can help us support families of children with complex health conditions, specifically those with heart defects and feeding difficulties.

Arantxa and Claire are shining a light on the difficult but incredibly rewarding work our carers do, while looking for new people to join our team.
