A big thank you to the team at Hidden Adventures, Skemersdale. The children had a great time in the woods this weekend and the marshmallows were definitely a hit !

There are still places left at our next Lancs Care Hub event - a special SEND session at Jungle World in Victoria Street, Blackpool on Sunday, June 28th between 4 and 5pm. The inclusive event for up to 12 year olds features reduced music, adjusted lighting and a more relaxed atmosphere.

A splashing time was had by all at our recent Lancs Care Hub event at Charter House Hydro pool in Burnley.

Our amazing carer Daniella was only too happy to get into the water with the children and give their parents a break. Chloe and Asher had a lovely time in the water.

Respite care comes in all shapes and sizes but all that matters is the children have fun, while their parents get a chance to recharge. 💙💦

Thank you to all our supporters who helped us raise £1,400 for the charity by buying raffle tickets. And we were buzzing that one of our tickets won the main prize of £1,000. 👏👏👏Don’t worry, you will get your chance again when we come round with the Christmas raffle tickets. 😜😀

This Carer’s Week 2026, we shine a spotlight on one of our amazing carers and the impact she has on so many families of children with congenital heart defects and complex health needs.

Claire Donnelly, Advanced Senior Carer, has worked as a carer with Lagan’s Foundation since March 2019. She loves making a difference in family's lives.

“No matter how small or big, seeing the smile on a non-verbal child melts your heart. Being a children's carer can be the most challenging yet rewarding role.”
