🎬 Filmmaking Workshop for Young People.🎬

Join filmmaker and drama facilitator Dan Hansom for an exciting three-day, hands-on filmmaking workshop inspired by Northumberland’s rich history.

Using archival images and stories from Northumberland Archives, exploring the Northumberland Fire Service during the post-war period, you’ll work together to create an original short film - developing skills in character, camera work, and visual storytelling along the way. No experience needed, just enthusiasm and imagination!

✨ The finished film will be screened at Alnwick Playhouse alongside original fire service footage.

I Swear is supposed to be brilliant, looking forward to seeing it!

As 2025 draws to a close, here is what’s coming up this November at Fuse Cinema 🎥 🍿

Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie (U)
When Gabby's dollhouse, her most prized possession, ends up in the hands of an eccentric cat lady named Vera, she sets off on an adventure through the real world to get the Gabby Cats back together before it's too late.

I Swear (15)
Based on the life of John Davidson, an advocate for Tourette Syndrome awareness, I Swear follows his journey from a misunderstood teenager in 1980s Britain to a respected adult who received an MBE. The film explores the challenges and triumphs of living with the condition, highlighting the societal misunderstanding and prejudice he faced.

On our trip to London over half term respect had to be paid at the BFI Southbank, spiritual home for UK film lovers! The plays a vital role in the UK's film culture, celebrating and preserving film history, and promoting artistry, diversity and innovation. It's the Mothership for Community Cinema, and well worth a visit if you've even a passing interest in film. I just wish it was a bit closer to home!
