Our fantastic Sutton on Sea Friendship Group had great fun celebrating St Patrick's Day. We held a general knowledge quiz with a few questions on the Emerald Isle and Lynne was our winner - she must of had the luck of the Irish on her side!

We are urging people to remain vigilant after two elderly residents in Lincoln were targeted by courier frauds yesterday.
The criminals posed as police officers on both occasions, instructing their victims to take money out of their bank before stating someone would arrive at the address to collect the cash.
The first incident, which was reported to us at around 4.30pm, saw the crooks claim they needed the money as part of a Scotland Yard investigation.
While the second incident reported at 9.30pm saw the fraudster tell their victim they had fallen prey of a scam, and they needed to hand over their money for safekeeping.
In the first instance, the resident chose not to give their money away. But the second victim was tricked into parting with thousands.
Investigations are ongoing.
But please, remain vigilant and share this message far and wide to help protect your friends and family.

Stay safe from fraud

The police and your bank will never ask for your PIN, bank card, or ask you to withdraw cash or buy items like gold bullion, jewellery, or any other high value goods on their behalf.
They will also never ask you to verify your personal details or PIN by phone or offer to pick up cash or your bank card by courier.
If you receive an unexpected call, hang up immediately. Make sure your call is fully disconnected before you verify the caller’s identity on a number you can verify yourself, not one given by the caller.
If you think you have been a victim of fraud, contact your bank immediately. For more crime advice, visit our Fraud advice page on the website or Action Fraud.

Our Sutton on Sea Friendship Group enjoyed an afternoon of singing and dancing this week. The fantastic duo Trakbak performed songs from the 50s, 60s and 70s, entertaining us all. We also enjoyed a delicious hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows to finish.
