Back in December we put out the call to anyone interested in taking over Horncastle in Bloom.
Having built and established a successful community event, the team currently behind HiB are ready to pass over to a new team.

If you are interested in running the project, we are ready to hand over a number of resources, so that the project becomes a legacy for others to continue to build and thrive.

If this is you, please do contact us through messenger or email [email protected]

Interest needs to be submitted by Monday 2nd February 2026. The deadline is now in place, as this year’s applications and processes need to be taken on now in order to have continued success. Sadly, if no interest is submitted by this date- the social media pages will be closed down.
Let’s keep Horncastle blooming! Please do share!

Do you have the talent to bring blooms to Horncastle? Having established and built Horncastle in Bloom, and successfully gaining bronze and then silver awards for the town- the time has come for change. I’m so proud of what has been achieved so far- but my three year tenure as chairperson is coming to an end and we’re now looking for the next champions who could take Horncastle in Bloom to the national RHS Britain in Bloom competition. Brining together the community and businesses to help promote Horncastle as a destination whilst honouring our botanical and horticultural history. The project is established. We’re ready and waiting for you to take the project further. The social media channels, logo, equipment and communication hubs are ready to be handed over to those ready to pick up the gauntlet! To express your interest in taking Horncastle in Bloom forwards to success- please email your expression of interest to [email protected] I’m so proud of what has been achieved and look forwards to seeing the project succeed in the future. What an absolute thrill it was to present the final Gold award - shops and businesses certificate yesterday- this one for best internal window display. The shocked smile and surprise from Sarah Riverside Emporium with Garden Terrace was just fantastic.
Despite having no outside space to the front of the shop, it’s always great to see the large amount of thought which goes into the windows at the Emporium. Directly linked to the shop’s products, as well as live flowers and plants. Another stunning winning combination. So great to hear Sarah’s views on the value of displays and community on her businesses as well.
