We did it! Our target of 4500 poppies has been reached 🌺🌺🌺🌺 To date we have received 4652 poppies! 👏👏👏👏👏👏 Thank you to the wonderful crafters from Horley, the surrounding towns and villages in Surrey, as far away as Norfollk, and Bookham Library for sending over poppies.

If you still have poppies to hand in, please do so at Horley Library every poppy will be used for this year’s remembrance.

The response has been truly remarkable. The ladies of the WI are now working behind the scenes to get the installation ready.

Thank you 🙏😍🌺

🌷 Today we remember Dolly Parton. A truly inspiring woman whose talent, generosity and determination broke barriers and opened doors for countless women. Her legacy will live on through her music, her charity work and the lives she touched. 💖

Poppy update:
We are getting ever closer to our target. As of today, 5th August:-
Poppies received 2838 enough to cover 43 railings; our target is 68 railing and 4500 poppies. Starting from Clerklands surgery to the other side of the car park entrance towards Hevers Avenue
Will we achieve that???
Watch this space....
A big thank you to all those that have knitted, crocheted and donated cable ties and yarn.
We hope that everyone has enjoyed making, and continues making the poppies and strips. Together we can make something the community can be proud of! 🌺🌺🌺🧶🧶🧶

All poppies and strips to be dropped off by 22nd September at Horley Library

Yarn Poppy Appeal update:🧶🌺🧶

We are just over halfway to our target 👏
A huge thank you to all of you who answered our call to use your knitting needles or crochet hooks to help us.
Poppies received to date 2316
Enough to cover 35 railings
Your support has been truly amazing.

The deadline for donations will be the 22nd September. This will allow us sufficient time to assemble the strips, ready for attaching to the railings mid October. We have a few balls of yarn for making the poppies, as well as copies of the patterns at Horley Library, just ask a member of staff.
