💙This week’s Community Heroes story shines a light on the amazing work of Autism Rocks and the positive impact they’re having for children, young people and families locally.💙

We’re proud to support organisations helping build stronger, more connected communities across Buckhaven and Methil. 🤝

Every story in this campaign is about real local people and the organisations helping shape the future of the community in which our UK-first H100 Fife trial is taking place.

Take a few minutes to read their story and learn more about the people making a difference right here in Levenmouth.📍

Watch the video to hear from Liza and Michael about their Autism Rocks journey below.

Over 6,000 farmers and landowners across our regions in Scotland and southern England are sent our Pipeline Awareness Calendar every year, highlighting the importance of knowing where gas pipelines are located on their land.

We invite our people to submit their photos to be included, and June's photo by Thomas Caswell captures this cheeky kid in their herd.

It’s essential nobody digs near gas pipelines without first having a detailed consultation with our team to keep themselves and our network safe.

💙 Introducing Community Heroes 💙

Today we’re launching a new campaign celebrating local people and organisations making a real difference across Buckhaven and Methil.

First up is Ellie’s story.

Starting as a five-year-old "Mini Kicker," Ellie Gray has grown from a local participant into a powerhouse Young Leader, inspiring the next generation of Levenmouth athletes.

Over the next six weeks, we’ll be sharing more inspiring stories from across the community — shining a light on local heroes and organisations helping others every day.

We’ve started work on a £1.7 million investment to upgrade the gas network in , helping ensure homes and businesses continue to receive a safe and reliable gas supply for years to come.

Our engineers are replacing older metal mains with new long-lasting plastic pipe as part of this essential project.

Thank you to everyone in the community for your patience and support while we carry out these important improvements.

Do you know someone living with dementia?

Our locking cooker valve (LCV) is a free, easy-to-use safety device fitted to existing gas cooker pipework. When the valve is locked, it stops the gas supply to the cooker and removes the risk of the cooker being unintentionally turned on or left on.

It helps people living with dementia stay gas safe in their own homes and brings peace of mind to their relatives and carers. It’s simple to use, free to install - and it could prevent a serious accident.

Find out more about our free safety device at sgn.co.uk/LCV and share this post with someone you think it could help.

How do we balance energy security, affordability and decarbonisation?

That was the key question discussed during our panel session at All-Energy Exhibition and Conference in Glasgow.

The transition to a lower carbon future will require collaboration across the entire energy sector, and conversations like these are essential to shaping the path ahead.

A huge thank you to our panellists: Antony Green, Jack Norquoy , Scottish Renewables, Richard Crighton , BIG Partnership, Katy Heidenreich , OEUK, Simon Gill, and The Energy Landscape.
