☀️ Sun Safety at Holiday Camps ☀️

As the weather warms up, we want to help keep children safe while enjoying outdoor activities at our holiday camps. 🌞

The sun is strongest between 11am and 3pm, so children will be encouraged to take regular breaks in the shade.

Parents and carers can help by making sure children:

👕 Wear suitable clothing, including t-shirts and hats
🕶️ Bring and wear sunglasses where appropriate
🧴 Apply SPF 30+ sunscreen before attending
☀️ Bring sunscreen for regular reapplication throughout the day
💧 Bring a refillable water bottle to stay hydrated

Don’t forget…
🧢 Slip, ☀️ Slap, 🧴 Slop!

Delighted to be delivering the Live Well Project in St. Peter's Ward, Tameside.

We have been delivering active healthy activities across the community and having discussions about healthy lifestyles. We have also been finding out what local facilities people have / feel they need to live well.

At the end of March, we bid a fond farewell to our Head of Centres, Mark Williams, who is retiring after 36 years of hard work and dedication to Lindley Educational Trust.

Mark has contributed significantly to Lindley’s success during his time here. He has inspired many children and young people through his work at Hollowford, and at Ashton Youth Club and Pitsmoor Youth Club.

Thank you Mark, we wish you a well-deserved and adventurous retirement!

Another successful residential in Eryri staying Scout Adventures - Yr Hafod The mountains packed a punch with torrential rain, 60mph gusts and a hot day with blue skies.
The highlight of the trip was a scramble up Tryfan. Renowned as the mountain that Sir Edmond Hilary trained on for the first ascent of Everest. Who knows what these guys will get up to next!
