Following the lead from our instructor Hannes, our office team have been for a litter pick around the summit of Mam Tor (not a huge distance). The amount of litter and discarded poo bags was unbelievable and pretty disgusting.

Most disappointingly was one area we cleared on the way up to the summit, already had had more litter dumped when we came back down🤦🏻‍♀️

As a Centre that uses the local area, we ensure that all our groups are properly informed of the importance of taking their litter home.

At the end of March, we bid a fond farewell to our Head of Centres, Mark Williams, who is retiring after 36 years of hard work and dedication to Lindley Educational Trust.

Mark has contributed significantly to Lindley’s success during his time here. He has inspired many children and young people through his work at Hollowford, and at Ashton Youth Club and Pitsmoor Youth Club.

Thank you Mark, we wish you a well-deserved and adventurous retirement!

The Centre is full of the smell of baking today, all coming from our 5* Food Hygiene rated kitchen.
The Catering Team have done it again, they have retained the highest Food Hygiene rating🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Well done!

As for the baking - it's not for staff unfortunately! The Catering Team are preparing for the arrival of our second to last school of 2025 and also starting to think about what to make for the Hollowford Christmas Market 2025 which is on Saturday 6 December!
