Hook Village Halls Charitable Association is the registered charity responsible for managing Hook Community Centre (RG27 9NN) and the Elizabeth Hall (RG27 9HH). Our two venues offer a range of spaces for hire from small halls and meeting rooms to a sports hall and a performance venue with a large fixed stage, stage lighting, a sound system and capacity for a seated audience of 200. Whatever your r

Don't forget its the Hook Flower & Produce Show next Sunday 13th September (2-4.30pm) at Hook's Elizabeth Hall RG27 9HH.
Entry to the show and/or to enter exhibits is FREE. Closing date for exhibits is midnight this coming Friday. Anyone can enter just visit www.hookinbloom.org
Help raise money to keep Hook blooming by grabbing some great plant bargains, re-purposed tools and over-bought garden purchases at a fraction of the price you would expect to pay.
Take a look at all the wonderful exhibits, try your luck on the superb tombola and garden book stall and enjoy super homemade cakes and tea whilst you help Hook In Bloom volunteers fundraise.

Yes It's Hook Books this Thursday 3rd September at Hook's Elizabeth Hall RG27 9HH! Come along for your fiction fix, tea and scrumptious homemade cake, baked by Louise of Simple Cakes.

We know people are keen, but please bear in mind that the doors to the main hall will not open to browse and buy before 2pm because the volunteers need to get everything sorted.

COUNT DOWN TO THE HOOK FLOWER & PRODUCE SHOW

Do you Take Make or Bake, does it make you proud when one of children wins a rosette, then there's a category for you at the Hook Flower Produce Show on Sunday 13th September 2-4.15pm in Hook's Elizabeth Hall RG27 9HH.

Visit www.hookinbloom.org and take a look at the show entry categories to see whether you could win a prize. Its fun to take part and its fun to come and visit.

Just under a month to go and the banners are up for this year's Hook Flower & Produce Show.
Put Sunday 13th September in your diary and make a date to come along to the Elizabeth Hall at 2pm to visit the show and take part in our tombola, eat cake and buy plants to raise funds to keep Hook Blooming.
Visit www.hookinbloom.org to fill in an entry form on line to enter categories to win an accolade/s whether you grow, make crafts, cook or take photographs. There's no cost to enter Hook's show so you can easily enter as many categories as you like.
Rather get a hardcopy entry form then pick up one from Bridges, Hook Village Halls, or email [email protected].

NEED LOTS OF BOOKS TO READ WHILST IT IS SO HOT?

Come along to Hook Books this week (1st Thursday of the month) at Hook's Elizabeth Hall, Hook RG27 9HH between 2-4pm for your fiction fix plus scrumptious cake and tea.
Thousands of books are on sale at only 50p each (you can't get paperbacks or cook books, especially the huge selection we have, anywhere else for that price!). Bring along the kids because their books are just 50p for 3 books no matter what size they are.
Also in the foyer this week are volunteers from HOOK ACTION AGAINST OVER DEVELOPMENT.
Come along and meet them to discuss any concerns you have regarding the proposed increase in development in Hook and surrounds like the proposed Murrell Green mini village between Hook and Hartley Wintney and land at Owen's Farm.
Look forward to welcoming lots of people on Thursday.

POPPIES AT THE ELIZABETH HALL

Hook's Poppies arrived back from RAF Odiham today after their drying out session at the base. Volunteers met up today at the Elizabeth Hall to sort them out, do minor repairs, and pack them up for storage before they are put up again in October.

Thank you RAF Odiham for looking after them and thank you volunteers for sorting and packing them up properly for storage.
