Not even the rain could dampen everybody’s enthusiasm today as the Winds were pretty good for sailing, we sailed a Triangle course and perfected coming alongside, the seniors continued with practising backwards sailing and they all did well!

A bit blustery out today a great chance to give the assistant sailing instructors some sailing time and teach them some advanced sailing techniques. They all had a go at sailing backwards, sailing in tight circles around the safety boat and picking up man overboard. Very good effort all round by all in some tricky conditions, well done.

Yet again the wind got the better of us and was a bit too strong for to get out sailing so we had to split up into two groups once again, one group were taken out and given a go at driving the Holyhead Sailing Club Rib and the second group staying ashore brushing up on their tiller drills and various points on sailing. Both groups swapping after an hour.
Here’s hoping for lighter winds this coming Saturday 🤞

We Finally managed to get out on the water to do a bit of sailing.
Once again the young sailors were split up into two groups the returning sailors from last Year and our new sailors.
The returning sailor’s used the topper sailing boats while the new sailors used the optermist boats, both groups did really well in what was at times challenging conditions.
