Woburn Safari Park! 🐒

Our young people enjoyed a brilliant day out at Woburn Safari Park, getting up close with a variety of animals while learning more about conservation and the importance of protecting wildlife. They had the chance to help prepare food for the monkeys and feed the giraffes, creating some really special and therapeutic moments while spending time around the animals.

Thetford Forest Bike Ride! 🌲

Our young people headed to Thetford Forest for a day of mountain biking, taking on the Red Trail at High Lodge.

It was a great day out, giving everyone the chance to get outdoors, enjoy some time together and build confidence while taking on the trail and enjoying the forest.

Rice & Spice Cookery Day! 🇮🇳

Our young people got stuck into an Indian-inspired cookery session, making their own chicken tikka masala from scratch, along with homemade naan breads and a fresh raita dip to go with it all.

A great day of cooking, trying new things and, of course, enjoying the meal they made themselves!

Sewing Bee!🧵

Our young people got creative with some second-hand clothes, choosing their own pieces and coming up with ideas to give them a new look.

They designed their own patterns and details before bringing their ideas to life with a little help from the sewing machine. It was great to see everyone putting their own spin on their clothes and giving some pre-loved clothing a new purpose!

Today is International Youth Day, a day designated by the UN to raise awareness of issues affecting young people. At Holt Youth Project, we see every day the difference that the right support, opportunities and safe spaces can make.
