Are you wondering what to do this weekend, maybe consider having a History fix?
Not only do we tell local ww2 history, we also showcase a world wide important invention.
Bring a picnic as you can enjoy our informative benches in our memorial garden which is open every day.

It is lovely to have Friends of Langham Dome members Ray, Wendy, Chris and Hilary enjoying a VE Day lunch with us today.

In 1946 Langham became home to a technical-military training school, and with co-operation of the RAF 1500 Dutch servicemen came to Langham. Some had fought with the allies during WW2 and some were new recruits eager to learn and build up the Netherlands military forces. They made use of Langham's extensive engineering and workshop facilities to build up the knowledge to help rebuild there armed forces. Unfortunately the winter of 47 was extremely harsh and they had to endure freezing conditions living in Nissan huts for months.
Many close connections were made between the Dutch and the locals, and we have many decedents of those servicemen now as friends of our museum.
