Check out this clip of a Willow Tit using some of our standing dead wood created at Tamar Lakes. 🌳

Thank you to Aran Kimberlee from Dartforest, a tree consultant specialising in creating beautiful features and habitats from trees. This has been a brilliant result from the woodland restoration work undertaken on our grounds!

📣 The round-lake path is currently closed while we make emergency repairs to the wooden bridge at the nature reserve end of the lake.

Sadly this means Parkrun is cancelled until we are able to reopen the bridge.

We're really sorry for the inconvenience but we hope to get everything resolved soon!

It's 🐝

Did you know there are around 270 species of bee in the UK?

Learn more about our native insects and bee species in our upcoming Bioblitz Events!

🔎 What is a Bioblitz?
A Bioblitz is an exciting opportunity to observe and document wildlife in various habitats, offering valuable insights into the species that call our site home. It's a great way to learn more about nature while making a meaningful contribution to conservation science.

🐛 Why Participate?
Your participation in the Bioblitz will help us gather accurate data about the biodiversity in our area. This information is crucial for understanding ecological health and informing future conservation efforts.

We have a number of events running across the South West:
● Friday 5 June - Stithians Lake, Cornwall
● Wednesday 10 June - Roadford Lake, Devon
● Thursday 11 June - Burrator Reservoir, Devon
● Friday 12 June - Wistlandpound Reservoir, Exmoor

This month’s featured 2025 Photography Competition highlight comes from Dan Wilcox, submitted to our Awesome Adventures category.

Dan’s been fishing at Fernworthy with his dad for many years and we think he captured the magic of their favorite spot perfectly! 🎣
