Private hire of The Nest - even for just a one-off meet up.

This week a group of NCT mums hired The Nest for a 2 hour meet up. They even brought mocktails!

You can hire our beautiful space for a one-off event; be it a meet up, hobby group or birthday party.

There’s also some space for regular evening availability.

Starting Tuesday 22nd November; maternal circle is to support your wellbeing - no matter how young or old your child is.

We will sit in circle and you will have the opportunity to offload or share whatever’s going on for you. Feel held by other mothers.

We will also get our creative juices flowing with a bit of journaling, doodling, and creating.

At the moment you don’t have to book this class - just turn up!

You are welcome to this class WHATEVER AGE YOUR CHILD! Even if your child is in primary or high school, you may feel called to explore your motherhood journey.

Under 2’s are welcome into the class if you feel they can play. There will be toys out for them.

Please note there will be craft scissors and glue around at certain sessions.

The guide price for this session is £3.50. Because we will use materials, if you are able to pay more that will help keep the class going. However if finances are tight, you are still very welcome.

Free drop-in sessions to support you and your child’s wellbeing ❤️

You are welcome at this session if you are a parent or carer of a child under 5.

You can come to the drop-in for any of the reasons below:

To get out of the house!
To self-weigh your baby.
To receive some infant feeding support.
To meet and chat to other parents and carers.
To ask about local services, organisations and events.
Or to just see a friendly face if it’s one of those days 😊

You can just pop in to use the scales, or you can stay for the whole hour - and you can come as often as you like! There will be a few toys out for your little ones.

These sessions start week beginning 5th December.

Don’t forget to tag a friend who you think would benefit from knowing about these sessions!

Wednesday’s Boogie Time is now 10-11am (this is a drop-in session, no need to book).

Wednesday’s crafts with starts on 9th November (this is a drop-in session, no need to book).

Tuesday Maternal Circle will start 22nd November (this is a drop-in session, no need to book).

Tuesday Songs and Stories will start 22nd November (this is a drop-in session, no need to book).

Be sure to look at our timetable (swipe) - so much exciting stuff happening! Many of our session are just-turn-up. Where you need to book, it states so.

So much stuff for you to enjoy!

Our timetable’s getting a bit of a shake up and, as you can see, it means we’re going to be open even more ❤️

Where is says ‘NEED TO BOOK’ you… need to book! Where it doesn’t, you can just turn up.

So excited to welcome the following new hirers - give them a follow!

(Arty sessions for under 5s)

(craft sessions for under 5s)

hosting ‘The Playroom’ which is a drop-in play and cafe (with some cool things to play on and with)!

This is in addition to our already wonderful hirers:

0-5 fun Spanish classes

postnatal yoga

Messy & sensory play

You’ll also see that I’m going to be running some more sessions too. Sessions here at The Nest are now all a guide price of £3.50. This means that if you can’t afford right now, you’re still welcome. If you need to pay less, you’re welcome. But if you’re able to pay any more than it goes directly to supporting others and keeping our lovely space open.

I’ll be posting more about these sessions over the next week.

Hello 👋 Have we met yet?

I’m Rebecca, and I’ve had the absolute pleasure of meeting lots of you since I started running The Nest on 1st Sept. Let me tell you…. You and your children are absolutely BRILLIANT!

I’m away on holiday this week (it’s not a total work break but it is nice to be away). Have you checked out the half-term programme? Remember, our usual timetable pauses for school holidays.

AND…. Tomorrow I have a HUGE, JUICY post that you do not want to miss! It’s all about what’s starting from 31st October… Some very, very exciting stuff that I know you and your under 5’s will love.

Our beautiful, relaxed space is available for private hire:

All daytime bookings include use of our toys.

Drinks are available to buy (self-service). Food would be self-catered (we have a fridge).

We keep our rates as affordable as possible. So whether you’re an NCT group wanting to meet privately, looking to host your baby’s first birthday, or perhaps wanting a space for a business event or workshop, our space can flexibly meet your needs.

A few pics from the last couple of weeks 🤩

We have plenty of drop-in sessions here at The Nest, and from after half-term we’ll have EVEN MORE!

Here’s a reminder of our term-time drop-in sessions:

Monday 10-12 is Stay and Play, £3.50 per family guide price.

Tuesday (every other week) 9.30-11.30 is a free breastfeeding group run by

Wednesday 10.15-11.15 is Baby Boogie (for 0-5s), £2.50 per family.

Thursday 10-11 is Messy and Sensory play for under 3s run by . £4, £2.50 for pre-crawlers.

Friday 12.30-2.30 is Family-Friendly Cafe. This is free but there are drinks and small snacks available to buy.

AND, from after half term:

Tuesday 12.30-1.30, Happy Hour (nope, not that kind 😂). Songs, play and stories for 0-5s, £3.50 per family. STARTS 8TH NOV

Thursday 12.30-3, art sessions for under 5s (babies 12.30-1.30, toddlers 2-3) run by £4 per child.

I’m only 6 weeks in to running The Nest, and I have more great stuff in the works that I can’t wait to share with you ❤️

Messy Sensory Play ❤️

Say hello to Tracey 👋 Some of you will already know Tracey because she’s been running baby and preschool classes in Holmfirth for many years. She runs which is a community interest company based at the family centre in Meltham.

We are so, so excited to have Tracey running a class at The Nest. Messy sensory play is such a wonderful experience for under 3’s - and Tracey will give you a lovely warm welcome.

Thursday mornings, 10-11am, £4 (£2.50 for pre-crawlers). You can drop in - no need to book.

Starts next Thursday!
