From gardening to litter picking to woodland and water management, there is something for everyone to do. We need anyone who loves and uses this open space to join FoBP. Whether it is just to support the group, physically help with jobs in the park, or organise fundraising, you will be very welcome. You can get fresh air and exercise, meet a great group of people, and have fun too!

FRIENDS OF BARCLAY PARK (FoBP) FUN DOG SHOW – SUNDAY 14 JUNE 2026

The third annual FoBP Fun Dog Show on Sunday 14th June in Barclay Park, Hoddesdon was another big success and the park was filled with lots of excited animals, their owners, volunteers and park visitors.

The weather was very kind with around 500 people attending the event with many moving on to enjoy the music and events at the Cricket Club later.

Judging was headed up by the Broxbourne Veterinary Service with a number of dignitaries pressed into judging duties. They included our local MP - Lewis Cocking, the Mayor - Patsy Spears, Deputy Lieutenant and Patron of FoBP -Karen Trew and local councillor - Mark Perkins to name a few.

With winners from eight categories going head to head for “Best in Show” the overall winner was Molly, a rescue dog, with her owner Jean.

Thanks go to Friends of Barclay Park organisers, volunteers and all the stall holders who helped to make it such an enjoyable day.

Join us at Barclay Park on Sunday, 14th June, as our Fun Dog Show celebrates its 3rd anniversary. Judging will include staff from the Broxbourne Veterinary Service, with 8 distinct categories available for entry with Rosettes awarded to the top 5. Our event will feature a range of amenities, including specialty coffee and tea services provided by John, Cats and Dogs, as well as a German sausage stall and ice cream van. A variety of dog related stalls will be in attendance to include face painting and a children's ride. The highlight of the event will be the Best In Show final category at 2 p.m., followed by live music and a bar at the adjacent Cricket Club, with complimentary admission extended to all.
