Recently, spending time outdoors gave students a positive start to the week and a chance to slow things down a little 🌿☀️

During the session, one of our new students shared their goal of becoming a barrister, which led to some really positive conversations around future plans, ambitions and what they’d like to achieve during their time at AS2Educate 🎯

Sometimes it’s these moments and conversations that make a real difference, helping students feel heard, build confidence and start thinking positively about their future 💬

We’re really excited to share some fantastic news 🎉

AS2Educate has been shortlisted for two awards at the Alterna Prestige Awards 2026:

These categories mean so much to us because they reflect what we strive to achieve every day: helping young people build confidence, develop positive relationships and move towards brighter futures.

We’re incredibly proud of our team and the young people we support. Their hard work, resilience and commitment are what make achievements like this possible.

We’re really proud to share some fantastic news from AS2Educate 👏

Recently, we had our first EQA meeting with NCFE and received really positive feedback across our teaching, assessment and marking standards.

All student assessments were approved and confirmed as meeting NCFE standards, reflecting the hard work shown by both our students and staff throughout the year.

We’re also celebrating some brilliant student achievements:

⭐ 5 students achieved Level 1 Functional Skills in English
⭐ 3 students achieved Entry Level 2 in English
⭐ 3 students achieved Entry Level 2 in Maths
⭐ 2 students achieved Entry Level 3 in Maths

These results represent real progress, commitment and confidence building from students who have worked incredibly hard.

A huge well done to all of our students, and thank you to our amazing team for the support and encouragement they provide every day.

Recently, our students started a five-week programme with Herts Young Homeless, covering important topics including conflict resolution, budgeting, consent and the realities of homelessness.

These sessions are designed to help young people build confidence, independence and practical life skills for the future.

It was great to see students engage so positively in the first session and contribute so openly to the discussions.

Opportunities like this help young people develop knowledge and skills that go far beyond education alone.

We’re looking forward to celebrating our Year 11 students at the AS2Educate Graduation Ceremony on Wednesday 24th June 🎓

Graduation is a chance to recognise the hard work, progress and resilience our students have shown throughout their time with us, alongside the families, carers and professionals who have supported them along the way.

During a recent enrichment session, one of our students chose to swap the group activity for a 1:1 game of pool 🎱

At AS2Educate, we take student voice seriously. Giving young people the chance to make choices about their time can make a real difference to how comfortable and engaged they feel.

For this student, having a quieter, more personalised session helped them feel more at ease, while still building confidence and enjoying the activity.

It’s a good reminder that progress doesn’t always look the same for everyone, and sometimes it starts with something as simple as being heard.

Things are looking a little different around here 👀

Over the past few months, we’ve been working behind the scenes on a full AS2Educate rebrand, and we’re so excited to finally share it with you.

We’ve also launched our brand new website:

The new look reflects how much AS2Educate has grown, from moving into our own dedicated provision to expanding the opportunities, support and pathways available to the young people we work with every day.

Our new website gives families, schools and professionals a better insight into who we are, what we offer and how we support young people to rebuild confidence and move forward.

A huge thank you to Andy at CYP First for delivering such an amazing training session today on contextual safeguarding and exploitation.
The course was insightful, eye-opening, and genuinely thought-provoking. It challenged us to think beyond traditional approaches and really consider the wider contexts in which safeguarding takes place.

At AS2, the training has given us a wealth of valuable knowledge and practical ideas to review, reflect on, and adapt or improve our procedures where needed. It has reinforced the importance of considering all areas and wider concepts of safeguarding, ensuring that every young person has someone advocating for them and that risks are understood in the full context of their lives.
A truly impactful session – thank you again, Andy.
