Meet Toc, the most gorgeous guy around! 🐈 Toc is a super shy boy when he first meets you but with time and understanding, he can become quite the lap cat 💙

Toc is looking for a home with a family that can give him the time he needs to settle in at his own pace, so a home with adults or teenagers is best for him.

We've had a lovely update from the paw-rents of Eze! 💙🐈
"Just thought I would give you a few pictures of Eze, he is now 5 months old, he is a beautiful wild at times but also cuddly, this last week he has got bored with being in the back garden and beginning to explore further a field, he loves to climb but needs to improve on his balancing skills 🤦‍♀️he has an obsession with sitting in the kitchen sink, he is growing fast and doing well, he loves my other cat, desperate to play but shall we say my Jack tolerates him 🤣"

We've had a lovely update from the Paw-rents of Lily & Larry 🐈🐈‍⬛ ⬇

"Larry and lily are doing great, eating, sleeping, playing, exploring the whole house! 🥰They’re lovely cats thank you, here are some photos. It’s amazing how far they’ve come in a short time. We’ve just taken it very slow with them as you said. They enjoy zoomies about 3 or 4 times a day and I have to just lock myself in a room because they go up and down the stairs and it’s like being caught in crossfire as they fly about!" 💙

You'll be involved in socialising, grooming and feeding a range of small animals, as well as cleaning their various enclosures. You'll be working with rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, mice, rats, degus, chinchillas and gerbils! 💙

When Phoebe arrived at Blue Cross, it was hard to see the puppy underneath. 💔

Found on a caravan site with her sister, Piper, and brought in by a dog warden, Phoebe’s coat was so badly matted that around 85% of her body was covered. She was uncomfortable, frightened and in desperate need of care.

Our team got to work removing the mats carefully, and quickly discovered a six-month-old puppy.

With patience, care and time, Phoebe began to show the happy young dog she really was. And now, she’s found a loving new home of her own.

When Luna arrived in our care, the change in her circumstances left her anxious and struggling to cope. 💔

The lively whippet had come from a busy home where her family felt they couldn't give her the time she needed. Sadly, Luna found the transition to kennel life overwhelming. Being left alone in her kennel was just too much for her to handle.

Determined to help Luna feel safe, our team went above and beyond to make her time in the kennels as positive as possible.

Each day, Luna was encouraged to choose a new toy to take back to her kennel, helping her to build positive associations with her space. The team kept a radio on overnight to comfort her and provided a ‘destruction box’ filled with treats, giving her an outlet for her anxiety. With enrichment, training, and patience, Luna’s kennel became a place she loved.

Before long, Luna was back to her energetic and silly self, earning her the nickname ‘Kangaroo’ as she zoomed and bounced around the paddock at full speed.

A family soon fell for Luna’s silly and fun-loving personality, and she’s now thriving in a loving home of her own. 💙

We couldn't believe what poor Sahara and Nevada had been living in together for six months. 💔

Living in a clear box, with barely any space to run or play, and only shallow bedding, these poor girls were long overdue an upgrade.

Since then, they have moved into a gerbil paradise with lots of enrichment, forage, bedding deep enough to make tunnels, and lots of safe places to hide.

After growing in confidence and trust, they were adopted together.

Five tiny kittens arrived at our Victoria animal hospital, terrified, shaking and huddled together in a box. 💔

At just five weeks old, Porky, Beatrix, Buddy, Slinky and Dippy were already showing signs of how difficult their short lives had been.

The person who brought them said they had been given the kittens by a friend to sell, leaving us deeply concerned about what they had already experienced.

Porky was in the worst condition, with urine staining and faeces stuck between her paws, while all five would hiss and swipe at anyone who came near.

But with patience, love and time in foster care, their fear began to melt away. Within days, they were confident, playful little kittens.

Now, all five are thriving in loving homes, showing just how much a safe place, expert care and a second chance can change a life. 💙
