Our Family Centres offer FREE Healthy Start Vitamins to:

Pregnant women
Breastfeeding mothers
Babies from birth (excluding those who consume over 500mls of formula per day)
Children between the ages of one and four years.

You can obtain the vitamin tablets or drops from your nearby Family Centre Hub or child health/well baby clinic.

Prior to visiting, we recommend calling 0300 123 7572 to confirm availability.

SEND Chat and Play

Our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Chat and Play sessions are a great opportunity to come and meet other families going through a similar journey, in a relaxed environment.

Our SEND Champions are on hand to talk about the services we offer, signpost to different organisations or to simply act as a listening ear.

All are welcome whether your child is diagnosed or you are concerned about a possible need. We have toys out for the children or you can come by yourself.

🚧 Important Update for Families Visiting St Nicholas & Martins Wood Family Centre, Stevenage, SG1 5RD 🚧

We currently have some work taking place outside the building, which means the side path next to the community centre is temporarily closed.

If you're arriving via the car park, please head **left towards the parade of shops** and use the **main entrance** to enter the community centre.

We've attached some photos below to help you find your way easily. 📸

At the moment, we're not sure how long these works will last, but we'll keep everyone updated and let you know as soon as things are back to normal.

Free session for Dads to be! 👨👧

An inclusive information session for new and expectant fathers to help them to connect with and understand their babies’ needs.

This is a hands-on session where your baby aged 0 – 1 year can come too!
What you can expect

• Meet other dads and learn from their experiences
• Value the important role of becoming a father
• Build confidence around hands-on baby care, bonding & attachment

Healthy Start card 🥗
Need help with cost of living? You could be missing out on free fruit, vegetables, or milk worth at least £220 a year and free vitamins.

If you are more than 10 weeks pregnant or have a child under four years old, and are in receipt of benefits, you could be entitled to a Healthy Start prepaid card worth £4.25 per child per week to spend on healthy food and milk.
