Mission Is Possible
Mission Direct is a UK-based Christian charity that works alongside communities across Africa, Asia and the Caribbean to support grassroots education projects that create lasting change. Since 2004, we've partnered with local communities who identify their own needs and lead their own development. Together with volunteers, we've supported 275,000 children to access quality educ

ation and built 49 schools across Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, India and the Philippines. How We Work
We take volunteers on two-week trips where they work in partnership with local communities to build and renovate schools, support teacher training, and provide educational resources. Our approach centres partnership, not paternalism - communities drive their vision, volunteers provide practical support. Mornings are spent on construction work (no building experience needed). Afternoons involve visiting community projects like schools, feeding programmes, and children's homes. You'll see sustainable development in action and meet the people your work impacts. Who Can Get Involved
You don't need to be young, super-fit, or have building skills. We welcome individuals, families, church groups, and workplace teams ready to work hard and embrace partnership. Your trip includes flights, accommodation, transport, insurance, meals, and R&R excursions like Victoria Falls, Masai Mara safaris, and Angkor Wat. Your Mission Matters

Susie arrived in Zambia not knowing what she’d find. She left unable to forget what she’d seen.

She helped build classrooms for children who had nowhere to learn. She met families with nothing – she remembers them still. Today, the Crown of Life School in Zambia educates over 650 children. One of its former pupils is tipped to become an MP.

Last Wednesday, we kicked off Mission Maker Month with a wonderfully relaxed coffee morning at St Mary's Meppershall. The church was filled with people laughing, learning, and eating and there was a wonderful community spirit. We had the pleasure of hearing about the impactful work of Mission Direct while enjoying delicious cakes, fresh coffee, and tea. The children were entertained with activity sheets and toys, making it a fun morning for everyone.

We are thrilled to share that we raised over £800 towards our target, all while having a fantastic time! 🎉

Since 2004, Mission Direct volunteers have helped build 55 schools across 16 countries. Classrooms that are full of children today – and will be for generations to come.
Not one was funded by government. Every single one exists because of donors, volunteers, churches and supporters who chose to give.

To accompany our journey through the 30 days of Mission Maker Month we have produced a 30 day Prayer Diary. This prayer diary is designed to encourage faith, gratitude, generosity, and trust in God’s provision throughout Mission Maker Month, whether you are praying for the campaign, donating or fundraising.

Each day includes a Scripture theme, a short devotional reflection, and prayer points. Each day’s reflections have been prepared by one of the Mission Direct staff or trustees.

Please use this prayer diary as we go through Mission Maker Month. If you are fundraising or donating, please use this for inspiration and if you cannot donate or fundraise, please use this to pray for Mission Direct and for those who are fundraising as part of our campaign.
