EASTER PARTY! 🫡🥳🐣🎚
The Patrol Prize this term was up for anyone to take home, with so few points in it.....
Possibly too much chocolate involved from the start, even with the novelty of having to use a knife and fork for some self-restraint! 😋
Then a torch-lit egg hunt challenge outside set the team tasks for the race to truly begin, searching high and low (with only a few clues 🤫 and yes, that is out of bounds!!), so scouts could show off their knot🪢, map🗺 and lego🧱 skills, prior to some jenga self-sabotage!
But there can be only one, Kestrels🪶 pipping the other patrols to earn the well deserved prize. 👏

Monopoly Live, 2026!!
5th were in the Big Smoke this weekend, pitted against thousands of other scouts as we raced around trying to bag as many locations as possible while staying out of the Clink!
As separate teams we tramped and trained or just tootled from Lane to Street, accepting the challenges on the way: Aurochs rampaged with a monumental Free Parking; Naturals just flowed with it, to even peg Darth Vader en route; Corsair's piracy just evaded jail; Osprey swooped a little too soon, but Rapier stayed sharp to win their game!
So many other antics a long the way, from a rousing speech to varied POVs and even summoning a thunder storm on the ivories.
Great fun and a fantastic day - thank you to all the organisers and help on Saturday for the celebratory 20th Run.

5th are in the zone!
Laser Tag this week, but only a few photos as the scouts quickly took out most of the leaders in each game and the strobe lighting defeated our amateur photography! Aliases left us in no doubt about the scouts' intentions: Crusher wading into the fray; Acipter, Hogrider and 'Billy the Kid' jostling for top of the leader board with some phenomenal scores, Denial cooly picking the shots, but Dodge falling, out of action for an entire game by a namesake shadow with scary stalking skills!
A blast !!

Late delivery with an embarrassing 'dad rap' backing track but who can resist......((-:
Selection of scouting pancakes that managed to get snapped before being weighted down with toppings galore and then wolfed down.
A few flying flips and sous chef style cooking for a great evening, rounded off with some helpful washing up - thank you!

No sunrise for early morning salutation but poise, grace and strength galore as the scouts tackled some moves, maybe for some saplings to become trees and warriors to stand tall as practise and time allows. Don't forget to breathe rectangles for the quietest relaxation scouting ever witnessed at 5th! 😅 Thank you yoga_with_Angela for a great session!!

5th scouts descended on Cuffley again to brave a winter camp that after an ominous forecast earlier in the week, turned out alright in the end! 😅The fires were lit and marshmallows toasted on arrival, ready for some muddy but fun activities on Saturday, better described for some as 'wallowing but not hogging' the goal mouth in the human table football showdown! No time to change for the disco, (luckily open air😜) and after some intense musical generation gaming, onto the brilliant fireworks display. 🎆 Sunday morning showed off their packing skills and sherpa-like strength, thankfully after some strange spider whispering emptied the tents🕷 Thank you all for another great camp!! 🪨

Managed to just hold off until December ☺️, but last celebratory session at the hut before the festive panto next week at St Marks!!🎭
Snacks and ginger house building (Nice!?) before just dancing off to finish the frivolities. 🥳
Novel flat pack architecture from the Ravens 🏆 and some intricate (Baroque?) decor from the Kestrels 👩‍🎨with a dash of product placement from the Eagles🫶 to all show off their skills. Great aspiration and intention on a communal house from the Hawks🙌 but we may have misjudged the resulting sugar storm......😅
We'll leave you with a 'flock' of reindeer,🫎 (⛵️ badge?), and if not seeing you next week (oh yes we will!), wish you a Merry Christmas 🎄and looking forward to more scouting fun in the New Year 🎆 Thank you one 'n' all 🫡

Great fun tonight - lovely to see all the scouts just getting out there and braving the ice, for the first time for some, with others trying out some bold moves (aka. windmilling), figure skating (aka. ice angels) and general cameo appearances from Pingu and friends! The pictures say it all...until the next time folks- nice one!! ⛸️🙌👍

As the waxworks came to life in our mystery museum, scouts performed a brilliant show with fantastic costumes, great acting, comedic timing and props with an apt turn of phrase to bring their characters to life. Not to worry the villain flew away with the prize - more detective skills to follow, or maybe a traitorous appearance to watch out for?! 😇Well done: Albert, Amelia, Annes, Boudica, Charlies, Edwards, Gengis, Henrys, Isaac, Julius, Ludwig, Macon, Moctezuma, Mothers, Nelson, Queenie, Tina, Molly, Walken-Z !! 🥸🫆 🔍🔎
