Just a quick note to say we’ve adjusted our opening hours in our new premises to every Wednesday 6.15 - 7.15pm

We moved last week to the parish centre at St Giles church, just a slightly change to our Wednesday evening hour, now open 6.30-7.30pm. We needed some extra time to set up the space so please if you arrive early take a number and wait. We’re just testing a few things out so welcome any feedback.

Remember we are closed this week and will reopen next week 6.30-7.30pm at the parish centre St Giles Church Bury Lane.

Our last date on the High Street will be this Wednesday 25th March 6-7pm. We will then close for one week and reopen on Wednesday 8th April at the St Giles Church, parish centre (not in the church) it’s at the bottom of the car park. Our new opening hours will be 6.30-7.30pm. We will be trialing our new set up so please bear with us. Any questions please get in touch.

Foodbank Premises Update
After six years in our current location on the High Street, we will soon be moving to a new home. We will continue operating from our current High Street premises until the end of March.
Firstly, we must thank Burgess and Sons for their generosity. Our current premises have been kindly provided to us free of charge, with no rent or bills. This incredible support has made it possible for us to operate as a small, volunteer-led foodbank and continue serving our community. We are extremely grateful for the kindness and generosity shown to us over the past six years but by mutual agreement we need to move.
We are thankful to St Giles church, Bury Lane, Codicote for welcoming us into their space and supporting the next chapter of our work.
To allow time to clear down and set up in our new premises, the foodbank will close for one / two weeks during the transition. We will share reopening dates and further details very soon.

We gave out our Christmas bags last night and couldn’t have done it without the generosity of our regular donors and some extra support for the Christmas season. Thanks to Ah Support Services Limited who purchased Christmas treats for us and to Off Broadway Travel who made a generous contribution. To all the individuals who dropped off donations. For the individual chocolate bags from a wonderful
couple. To the lovely gentleman who set up a tab at Robarts which we’ve used to purchase some Xmas veg. Thank you all.

We are now closed until Wednesday 7th January so our brilliant volunteers can have a rest. Merry Christmas,

We have space for some new DofE students to join our friendly team in the new year. We have been supporting DofE students since we started and have loved having them, watching their confidence grow and understanding how they contribute. If you know a young person who is looking to complete their volunteering then ask them to get in touch with us directly (parents - let them do this bit as it’s all part of the learning) we promise them a friendly welcome and just ask for their weekly commitment on a Wednesday 6-7pm.

Donation point - thank you to the Knebworth Coop for our donation drop. (Next to the tills)

We may be called Codicote Foodbank but we support the surrounding villages* and have done for 5 years. Knebworth is back on the list since the local Foodbank is no longer operating.

We appreciate any donations.

If you need our help we’re open every Wednesday 6-7pm - 119 High Street, Codicote.
