Black history lives in the music. It lives in the movement.
Inspired by US Black History Month, we’re starting to share some of the rich roots behind the Swing, Jazz and Lindy Hop that were introduced to us by our partner Aletheia from .i.c — bringing these stories to our Hitchin and wider community as we begin the journey toward our UK Black History Month celebrations in October.
These dances didn’t just appear — they grew from Black communities, creativity and culture. And their story deserves to be told.

Because of your generosity, we’ve packed and sent 33 large boxes and 10 cartons of water, now picked up by Up&G Shipping and waiting at their yard to be shipped to support St Paul’s Church, Barbary Hall, where they’ll be distributed to the Black River community in Jamaica for hurricane relief.

This is just the first step—we could only afford this much for now. Every donation makes a difference! 🌍🙏
