Feeling like you need a clear out? Look at these tips from Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council

🗑️ Half Term Hacks: Declutter without the stress 🧹♻️

Half term is the perfect time for a clear-out – but what do you do with everything once you’ve sorted it? Here are a few simple ways to tackle the mess and make space at home:

🧸 Toys & Clothes Clear-Out
Outgrown toys and clothes piling up? Sort through them with the kids and set aside items to donate, sell or recycle. A great way to teach them about reusing too!

📦 Sort It, Don’t Store It
It’s easy to move clutter from one place to another – but half term is your chance to properly clear it. Be honest about what you really need.

🚲 Garden & Garage Tidy-Up
Old furniture, broken bits or general junk building up outside? Now’s a great time to get it sorted before summer arrives.

🚛 Big Bin = Big Help
If you’ve got more than your usual bin can handle, a bulky waste collection (or “big bin”) can make things much easier. No endless trips to the tip!

💡 Top Tip
Tackle one area at a time – even a single drawer or cupboard can make a big difference.

A little declutter can go a long way – and you’ll thank yourself later! 🙌
