Dear friends,
On our website, there is an update about Refreshment UK.
Recently, Simon's health has deteriorated resulting in his resignation. This coupled with not being able to secure the funding we needed recently has meant that the Trustees have taken the difficult and regretful decision not to continue with the lease of the buildings in Blackpool at the Refresh Centre and Deansgate, and will return them to the landlords when the leases run out. Refreshment UK at this time will also not be able to facilitate work in areas outside of Hinckley.
Full details of this can be seen on our website at www.refreshment.org.uk
We would love to see other Christian organisations take on these buildings in the future, which have been such a blessing to the area and we ask that you pray for all those affected by this difficult decision.
We hope that many people will have been inspired by the ministry of Refreshment UK across the last thirteen years and we pray many of those continue or develop similar ministry in the future. There have been many great moments, memories and transformations over the years which continue to encourage us in this difficult time.
We still believe in the long-term vision and at this stage, plan to keep Refreshment UK going as a voluntary mission organisation based out of Hinckley, subject to health and funding. Refreshment UK will also continue the support for Faith India Ministries. We pray that God will restore after a period of recovery.
Thank you for the opportunities to encourage and equip many along with your prayers.
Please do get in touch with the Trustees at the website for any queries.
