Rutland Neighbourhood Mental Health Outreach sessions:

Starting on Wednesday 21st October, the RCC Team will be providing free hot drinks and conversations around mental health support in Rutland.

You can find them at Egleton Village Hall, LE15 8AD between 1pm - 2:30pm.

So if you know anyone that could do with help, or perhaps you've noticed your own mood has dipped, pop across and take the first step to getting support.

Little Cup of Joy Wednesday morning session:

We have definitely hit the autumn period this week with the weather changing to be more unsettled.

Keep an eye on our page for updates around sessions.

Starting this Wednesday (21st October) we will be at Preston Village Hall, Preston, Rutland between 10:30am - 12 noon.

Grab your umbrella and your big coat and join the RCC team for a free cuppa and chance to chat.

If you are impacted by the changes to the seasons, this can be just the excuse you need to get outside for a bit and see other people.

Sessions take place outside so wrap up warm!

Great to be part of the Cadent MAC vehicles 🙂
MAC are amoung the finalists for bringing customer support to communities with limited access to support.

We are finalists at the Utility Week Awards 2026!

The judging has taken place and we’re excited to announce we are shortlisted for six awards this year:

⭐ Customer Support – Mobile Advice Centre (MAC)
Our MAC vehicles bring support to the communities with limited access to support, providing advice and support on fuel poverty, gas safety, carbon monoxide, debt and energy efficiency advice.

⭐ Social Value – Warm Homes Network
This new project created in partnership with Citizens Advice Manchester, Turn2us, YES Energy Solutions and Northern Gas Networks, is transforming how households experiencing fuel poverty access support through a simple referral online or by phone.

⭐ Skills and training – Immersive safety experience
Our Safe+Well immersive, actor-led learning event puts colleagues at the centre of a realistic process safety training scenario to build confidence, accountability and shared ownership of safety training.

⭐ Customer experience – Lettering app with Cogna
When upgrading ageing gas pipe infrastructure with modern alternatives, this new app allows us to identify every impacted property, and keep residents informed when timelines change.

⭐ Innovation (BAU) – Digital Platform for Leakage Analytics
Our revolutionary technology that creates a live, asset-level view of emissions across the network, enabling teams to focus effort where it will have the greatest impact.

⭐ Infrastructure delivery – Collaborative streetworks with United Utilities and Network Plus
By sharing forward plans of works and using dual-skilled teams to replace over 400m of water and gas pipes at the same time, this project was among the first in the UK to adopt fully integrated infrastructure delivery – saving 44 days of disruption.

Next Little Cup of Joy Tuesday location incoming....

We will be starting Tuesday mornings off with a free cuppa and chance to chat and connect at Twycross Village Hall from Tuesday 20th October.

Hot drinks and good conversation will be served between 10:30am - 12 noon.

It's probably not going to be quite as sunny as the last time we visited so get your big coats out!

We're still finalising an afternoon location within 15 minutes drive of Twycross so please drop us an email if your village hall / community space would like a free pop up Little Cup Of Joy session for the next 6 weeks between 1pm - 2:30pm.

Join us for our last Melton based sessions this Tuesday before we move on to new locations from next week.

On Tuesday 13th October we will be at:

Will the sun have it’s hat on in Caldecott this Wednesday? 🧢Or will we need our wellies? ☔️

Join us between 10:30am - 12 noon at Caldecott Village hall for our final Little Cup of Joy Session.

We’ve loved meeting the local community as well as the teams keeping everything moving such as the mobile Post Office and the hardy bin collectors. Out in all weathers, working away to support rural communities.

The Little Cup of Joy team are back out in the Melton area this Tuesday (6th October)

In the morning we are at Frisby-on-Wreake Village Hall between 10:30am - 12 noon.

Then across to Old Dalby Village Hall between 1pm - 2:30pm.

We will be offering local residents the chance to chat over a free cuppa, aiming to reduce social isolation and loneliness.

Rutland Mental Health Outreach:

Join us this afternoon (Wednesday 30th September) for another session bringing mental health outreach to your community.

The RCC team will be at Wing Village Hall between 1pm - 2:30pm offering the chance to chat over a free hot drink.
