Gwendoline Community House

Gwendoline Community House Gwendoline Community House opened in 2004 following consultation with local residents.

It brings services and agencies into the community which may not normally be accessed by the tenants and residents within the area and offers a more laid back environment than the more formal statutory buildings. Gwendoline Community House works with local residents, including young people, by encouraging them to become involved in their community, and restore a sense of pride back into the area.

The rooms are available to provide a venue for groups to use, meeting rooms for agencies, surgeries and also offer sign posting and networking facility. Residents can report problems within the area, get help, advice and support and become involved in activities run throughout the year. During the school holidays events are run which provide affordable activities for all age groups, these are in partnership with local schools, police, local businesses and volunteers, and include sporting activities, arts and crafts, canoeing, theatre tips and family days out - all of which have an emphasis on fun!
