One of the now rare manual farming events. Prior to combine Harvesters and the present day very modern methods of farming, cutting the corn would have been done with a binder and then neighbours would have gathered together and moved from farm to farm to help with the threshing. The lady of the house would had maybe up to a dozen of men to feed on the day in addition to her own family. The thresher travelled the community until all the local farmers had their corn threshed. Thanks to all who assisted on Saturday with this aspect of the day.

Well folks what a great day we had yesterday. Just didn’t get a chance yesterday to post anything throughout the day.
We had a great turnout of tractors and classic cars as well as other agricultural machinery & equipment.
The event would not happen and be such a success without the great team of volunteers who are on-site Thursday, Friday & Saturday to erect marquees, build the kitchen and dining area, put up notices and feed the troops! Many of those same volunteers also work away at or on various aspects of the day throughout the year and in particular in the preceding 10 days. After the event everything has to be dismantled and taken back to various locations.
Thank you to all our member volunteers, others from the community who assist us and most of all to all the folks who brought vehicles to display and to the community and other visitors who came to support the event and the Charity - Sensability.
A fantastic sum was raised and this along with other donations will be revealed and presented to Sensability on Thursday 19th November.
A few pictures attached. Some folks who attended have already posted some pics.

Thank you everyone.
