We are extremely proud of our Northern Ireland District Women’s Section Standard Bearer - Rosemary.
Rosemary represents our Northern Ireland branches at events locally and further afield throughout the year.

Tomorrow, Rosemary will represent us again at the National RBLWS Standard Bearers Competition in Brighton.

Get in touch if you would like to enter this amazing prize draw - Tickets cost £5 and the draw will take place in late September, just when we will all be thinking about turning the heating on again full blast!

Northern Ireland Women's Section are holding a raffle this year for the chance to win 500 litres of heating oil, or the equivalent in gas or electric. Tickets are £5, and can be purchased from the District Officers and Branch Representatives. Draw to take place at our AGM in early October 2026.

It was really lovely to catch up with good friends in Royal Hillsborough at the always wonderful Royal British Legion Women's Section - Hillsborough Branch. Afternoon Tea yesterday! 🍰☕🩷 - the sun was shining, great company and yummy treats indeed. Well done to all at the branch for the hard work on this beautiful event, and it was good to see it supported by the Royal British Legion Chair and Royal British Legion's NI Woman's Section Chair, both in attendance.

Thanks to the NI RBL Women’s Section Chairman Janet, NI RBL Chairman Colin and NI RBLWS District Committee members for joining us this afternoon in Royal Hillsborough at our Afternoon Tea. We were competing with many other events throughout the day in our community and that reflected on the numbers attending …. nevertheless those attending enjoyed their afternoon and we raised an amazing £413.30. Thanks to everyone for attending , special thanks to our DFM Emma Little-Pengelly and Cllr Alan Martin for their continued support. Also thanks to branch members , Walkers Butchers, Annahilt Parish Church and Hillsborough Village Centre for their help in making the afternoon a success. 🙏

Good morning and Happy New Year from a cold Royal Hillsborough.

Apologies for the lack of activity on this page in the run up to Christmas- we hope you had a lovely time!

Now that we all have had the time to catch our breaths after a busy few weeks, we would like to share news of the awards we received at the NI Women’s Section AGM in October.

We won the Nora Glover Cup for progress and efficiency and were runners up in the Molly Holmes Cup ( fundraising) and the Chairmans Community Cup ( contribution to the life of our community).

While it is not our intention to win awards, it is lovely to have the work, we resumed doing here recognised , thank you to everyone in our community and beyond for supporting us in 2025!

Our successful Spring Afternoon Tea will be back again in April - more details in the weeks to come.
