A speed enforcement officer carried out a speed check session outside the cemetery, on Cricklade-Highworth road this morning. As a result, 9 vehicles have been issued with notices on intended prosecution for excessive speeding.

The roads monitored are 30 MPH, the fastest vehicles were captured at 47 MPH
Depending on previous convictions and history

8 Drivers will be offered a speed awareness course or face £100 fine and 3 Penalty
points.
1 Driver will face £100 fine and get 3 Points.

Proceedings will now be undertaken to ensure the most appropriate outcome for the offenders takes place, which includes checking for MOT, Insurance & Point Totters.
Captured footage will be analysed for other offences like seat belts and mobile phone use.

The team did a session on Eastrop yesterday. Of the 129 passing vehicles, 10 were reported for speeding with 4 of those 10 speeders exceeding 40mph.

30/04/2025

At the request of a resident, the team did a session on Roundhills Mead today. Of the 429 passing vehicles, 18 were reported for speeding, with 9 exceeding 50mph. The fastest reported speed was 58mph.
